A Pennsylvania school district has just banned "Girls Who Code". This is a series of books encouraging girls to get into STEM and the reasoning behind the banning of it is that it is "too activist".

Nearly 2000 titles have been banned across the country this year.

As with so much I've seen & heard the past few years, I never dreamed schools & libraries across America would begin banning books. How do you feel about that?
It is fucking ridiculous.
Sally and Maggot will come along and say it isn't really happening.

And Rothschild will give an example of something else we should have been upset about instead.
And then someone will call us pedophiles and crazy.

And someone else will say "But you guys banned such and such or something about free speech" etc etc

So its all okay because everyone is fucked and America is fucked-but don't say that-only if you are a Trump can you say that but everyone else who says that is Anti-American.

Or say it's Biden or the Democrats fault. Or Trump or Desantis would never let this happen.
They tried to ban it book called 'Gender Queer'in my community.    A bunch of us got together and bought 100 copies of the book.   It is now available for every age group,   which means 5 year olds can now see pictures about how to touch themselves to feel good.

Congrats duchess and Mirah,  sex trafficking will be alive and well because of you!
Depends on the book. A book called Gender Queers for example is not appropriate material for schools and you don't have to read past the title to know that. Kids can read about that on their own time if they wish. The book Girl's Coding seems appropriate for middle schoolers from what I've seen, however, and they're taking it too far. I don't know, I don't think you need to be a rocket scientist to deem what's appropriate reading material for schools.
There are people in this world that are not happy unless they are breaking other peoples stones!
Someone important once said that if you burn  books, like they did in the 1930s in Germany, you end up burning people.   Banning books is the same.  There has to be boundaries though, under elevens should be allowed to have childhoods.

Thanks to your universities, the Obamas, especially them, censorship and the destruction of freedom is coming.  And people will be burned.
What do the Obamas have to do with censorship & the destruction of freedom?
But remember the Thompsons from 1959? They really set the ball rolling!
The book series may not have been banned-but put on a list, enough people protested and it was removed from the list.

So now maybe I'm the one saying it didn't happen!
This book may be on the banned list!

I find it all to be borderline shocking that books are being banned in America.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it up to parents to be making the decisions about what books their kids are reading? I wouldn't want someone making those decisions for me, as a parent it should be my job, not anyone elses.

If someone tells me that I can't do something, I can't do it fast enough!
Exactly.
Here is another one on the list I found.

Rothschild is wondering what happened to our resident cuntry cunt.

Anyway, I think communities should decide these things for themselves. Fuck the one-size-fits-all approach.
That's insane. In trying to find out why it was banned I came across an article that said Charlottes Web was banned in Kansas after objectors argued that talking animals are an insult to God. Are you fucking kidding me.
Oopsie. Failure to quote. Again. I was responding to Love Child.

It's great, actually, because it lets you know that that's not a place that's suitable for sentient life.
I don't disagree with that!
