I am in NY and I didn't even have to shovel snow this past winter. The few times it snowed it wasn't much and it basically melted soon after. A few weeks of serious cold set in, and some icing, but it wasn't much. I'll take that over disgusting levels of heat and humidity while you wait for the next hurricane.
