I try to consider the source when I read about the reults. Most of the news outlets carry a bias one way or another but a few are pretty straightforward. Those are the ones I tend to place more weight on.

Webb and Chafee have both been Republicans in the past, which I kinda like actually.

But, I don't think either of them came across as presidential material tonight, especially not Chafee. He seems like a genuinely nice man, but that's about it.
Overall, I thought it was a great debate. The one guy who put his ass on the line for this country, who actually gives a shit about the working class regardless of color, and who has the most personal experience with immigration, is totally out of place on stage, especially when he tried to talk about his success working on bipartisan legislation.

Everyone else was like the liberal version of Ted Cruz.... Ideological posers who are more concerned about party purity than compromising to get shit done.

I got a good kick about how everyone was bitching and whining about how bad things sucked, apparently forgetting that a Democrat has been President for 2 terms.hah

I wish I'd seen more of it but the clips are all over the place. A lot of people were ripping on Sanders looking and sounding like the Seinfeld version of Steinbrenner played by Larry David, but I actually thought he sounded more like Costanza's dad Jerry Stiller. I would have killed if he had said " Now is the time for airing grievances. I got a LOTTA problems with you people!"

I think that Bernie was the strongest in making his points. He hammers them home and rarely gets distracted or defensive.

But, I agree with those who see Hillary as having come across well; more suited to lead the country and affect realistic change.

So, she won the debate in my opinion. But, Bernie probably inspired a whole lot more people to get involved than did Hillary.

FESTIVUS FOR THE REST OF US! (Is that socialist? Smiley_emoticons_smile )
The problem with Bernie is that his best and therefore most quotable line made Hillary HUGE as a sympathetic character. But that's why I've liked his takes in the recent past, he says what he feels and damn the political machine. Guy has great ideas but he's ahead of the times. I'd love to see a Clinton Sanders ticket after the primary. How cool would that be?
Yeah, Bernie did more good for the DNC in general, and Clinton specifically, than he did good for himself with that comment about the email focus.

But, he strikes me as a very deliberate man. I believe he knew what he was doing and felt it was the right thing.

I don't think it hurt Bernie much, if any, though. In my opinion, nobody who puts a lot of stock in Bernie's opinion will jump his ship and board Hillary's because of it, and it probably didn't push undecided voters towards Hillary.

For me, Bernie's condemnation of the email hyper focus mostly benefitted the DNC and Hillary in terms of helping to legitimatize Clinton's claims in regards to the Republicans' motives, and in helping Clinton continue to change the narrative in her favor as she prepares to testify before the House Committee on Benghazi next week.

Clinton/Sanders would be a very interesting ticket, no doubt.

When I first read of his defense of her that is precisely what went through my mind.
It could also go Sanders/Clinton!

After further thought, Hilly wouldn't take second fiddle! hah

Damn straight she wouldn't. It's all or nothing. Go Hillary!

The recent events surrounding the House Select Committee on Benghazi are pretty amusing to me.

In attempt to counter recent allegations that his Committee's goal was to damage Clinton politically (rather than to objectively investigate the Benghazi terrorist attacks), Chairman Trey Gowdy told the press that he had proof Clinton had breached security and endangered CIA "human sources" in Libya.

There's only one problem with Gowdy's contention: it turns out the name of that CIA source was not a secret and was not considered "classified" by the CIA at all.

Over the weekend, the CIA undercut Gowdy’s assertion by informing the committee it did not seek any redactions to the email prior to public release of that or 126 other Blumenthal emails sent to Clinton.

Gowdy quickly pushed back on Sunday, countering that the Blumenthal email still contained “sensitive” information that should have been protected. He then publicly released the full text of the Blumenthal email so the the public could decide if Clinton endangered staff in Benghazi. The email had been redacted by the State Department for "privacy" purposes only.

Well, in his haste to save face, Gowdy had released the email before it was fully reviewed and he didn't notice that the State Department had failed to redact the name of the CIA informant from the subject line.

So, Gowdy had actually published the name of the very informant he accused Clinton of endangering, for all to see. He then quickly removed his post and blamed the State Department. Oops

I think Clinton's testimony before the Committee on Thursday will be a very interesting watch/listen.

Does Hillary still talk with a "Southern accent"? or does she only do that south of the Mason/Dixon.

Got a woody for those Democratic wimmens this morning, Maggottyboo?
Are you trying to give me nightmares? I hope you wake up next to Dick Cheney!

Or nestled between Cheney and Ted Cruz.
