l can confidently say I never said anyone should be banned. I've gone along with suggestions of a special place for them to fuck around but never have I said to outright ban anyone.

Robodoon joined here and by post #14 and with him only posting his intro and no replies to it , was banned just for who he was. Julie, you are mistaken. I have no pics of my extended family or my home on FB. I have those on Our Mom Spot. On FB you do have a greater measure of control over who sees your pics. In discussion groups, it's whoever else happens to be a member.

Either way, I post nothing anywhere that would harm me if it were totally "out there."

How much of a tease are you willing to give? When I came on, I already knew pretty much of what was going on here, as a knew several of the members from 24.
But, I agree with what someone said that some folks want to know something about a forum before joining...and before knowing whether going through Newbie Hell will be worth it.
This forum is not for everyone...ya gotta be comfortable in your own skin to make it here. I think there needs to be enough of a tease to let folks know just exactly what we are..and we are not just another hearts and flowers mommy forum.

Actually, the more I think about it, just leave newbie hell and headquarters open to new members. I used to be of the opinion that most potential members would want to peruse a board before registering to see if it would hold their interest. But as of late, all potential members would see here, in thread, after thread, after thread..... is a bunch of whiny drama queens re-hashing the same old crap (racism, PI, bannings, other forum drama, etc, etc, etc) that nobody really cares about, especially a new member that didnt know any of the players involved.

I see your concerns. If people would just have some sense and be aware of what they post, I don't think you would have any problems.

If you don't show enough of the forum, people won't want to join. It's really up to you. You are the one that will have to listen to people bitch when you make the decision either way.

I didn't run right in and look for naked pics (see, I am female, lol), but I did look in the member's area.

Duchess private areas are a necessity, limited access to some content is also necessisary.

newbie hell and the general members forum are sufficient to get the job done for new members.

the rest should be closed until full member status is achieved and the members only area should be a perk when the new member hits a designated number of posts.

What ever happened to that guy who posted a picture of his chunky naked ass? Seems weird that someone would just join to post a picture of their bare bottom and never be heard from again. Same thing with that other guy who posted a picture of his naked girlfriend. This place sure does attract a lot of weirdos.

I think if everyone who's had "private info" posted or PM's exposed had simply denied or ignored the info (pm's) none of this completely insane paranoia and discussion about privacy would be going on right now.

Go on Frank, tell Duchess how to access those PM's now in the admn panel so personal info is kept PRIVATE. Tell her how you think this and that should be changed to suit your needs.
