Would that not create a Fraggot? Clang, don't get too excited.
I'd get more excited if it created a Fraggle or a Tribble. Those things really give your bum a workout. Pilates.

So I witnessed this weekend a story about the Covington Catholic students who went to a March for Life rally in WA DC. Apparently the school goes every year.
While waiting for the bus at the end of the rally they encountered a group of black men who were shouting racial and anti-gay words in the name of preaching.
While this was going on another group was having their march-the Indigenous People's March on DC. I am not sure if they met up with the kids at the end of their march or the start, it seems it was at the end with a small group.
Nathan Phillips, a native elder, vietnam vet, keeper of the pipe was filmed drumming into this group of kids. Some say he was trying to bring distraction from the black group that was preaching. He later states he felt he should not have put himself in that situation. He also stated he heard kids shouting "Build that wall" I haven't heard any videos with that in it yet.

Anyway the first video that surfaced showed only Nathan drumming and a boy standing right in front of him and the rest of the Catholic students standing around and chanting and probably having a good time-but it was prefaced with the title, "Catholic school students harrass native man"

I admit, I fell for it. And I posted about it, but also stating that I was sure there was more to the story, and there was.

More videos came out showing a bigger picture and showing the black group preaching. It also showed a man who was with the Nathan Phillips group telling the boys to go back to Europe-it doesn't show why he said this-but he said it. That isn't right.

After my posting of the original story I corrected it on FB and tried to "correc" it on twitter as well.

But guess what? People did not want to listen to the other side of the story and they had already villified the boys-and the Catholic School had also apologized based on the first video. They also had to take down all of their social media accounts.

I did my best trying to say that there is another side to the story-but people did not want to hear it!

And they are a little scary.

And now I will go back to not posting political posts on fb and I will be scrutinizing the media much more than I already have been.

Another murderous far-right extremist advertised his loyalties to MAGA and the batshit QAnon conspiracy in court on Monday.

The genius is Anthony Comello, 24, and he's accused of killing Gambino mob boss Franky Cali in cold blood.

Comello appeared in court to face murder charges and flashed the white nationalist doodles he scrawled on his hand to the room, despite wearing tight cuffs and being under the watchful eye of an Ocean County court officer.

He also displayed a big, blue “Q” — the symbol of the far-right conspiracy theory movement known as QAnon.

Unsurprisingly, Comello posted all kinds of extremist bullshit on-line over the last couple of years.  He was familiar to New Jersey authorities before the murder because he'd contacted them regarding his desire to put Nancy Pelosi and Bill DeBlasio under citizens arrest.

The murder of Cali was reportedly caught on tape after Comello bumped Cali's car and then shot him when Cali got out.  Comello claimed that Cali tried to shoot him for smoking pot outside his house, but no gun was found in Cali's possession or at the scene.

LE believes that Comello's motive could be related to Cali's niece, whom Comello reportedly wanted to date.  Comello may have believed Cali wouldn't allow it.  Investigation is still underway.

A jury convicted James Alex Fields Jr., 21, of first-degree murder today.  Good.

He was accused of driving his car into a crowd of counter-protestors during a Unite The Right rally in Virginia rally in August 2017, killing Heather Heyer, 32, and injuring dozens of counter-protesters as they were singing and laughing while crossing the street.

Jurors rejected defense lawyers' claims that Fields acted in self-defense.  It was a ludicrous claim and the jury demonstrated simple common sense, in my opinion.  Video shows Fields intentionally driving into the crowd, backing up, and revving it up again.

Fields was found guilty of nine other charges including malicious wounding as well.  He has also been separately indicted on federal hate crime charges, which carries the death penalty.

Update:
White supremacist murderer Alex Fields pleaded guilty to federal hate crime charges today, thereby taking the death penalty off the table.  He'll spend his life in prison.

Good. He's where he belongs.

Heather's mother has had to keep Heather's grave a secret because of those who wanted to desecrate it. Her ashes are interred there.

I remember that day, everything that happened was shocking to me, I guess it was the speed of which it escalated. It feels like it was so long ago, but it wasn't, not really.

Larry Hopkins, 69, head of the United Constitutional Patriots, is charged with possession a firearm as a felon and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted. Hopkins appeared before a federal judge Monday.

His militia group has been detaining migrants near the U.S.-Mexico border.  Hopkins allegedly told the FBI his militia was training to assassinate former President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Democratic donor George Soros.

New Mexico's governor and attorney general denounced the militia last week while the Border Patrol warned them about "interference by civilians in law enforcement matters."

On Monday, the militia members were dealt another blow when the owner of the land where they set up their camp kicked them out. They have to leave by the end of the week.

Videos from the group show militia members stopping migrants, sometimes at gunpoint, near the border in New Mexico. The United Constitutional Patriots said they are simply doing their part to enforce U.S. immigration laws. In 60 days, they claim they've captured about 5,600 migrants who illegally entered the country.

According to prosecutors, Hopkins has three felony convictions in Michigan and Oregon, including for impersonating a police officer, and nine guns were seized from his home back in 2017.

We have a few of these close to Douglas and Nogales. Prior to recent years, there wasn't a lot of BP presence down in these rural areas and not enough Sherrif's to cover the amount of territory down there. That's why these militias started popping up along border territories. It's supply and demand.

After investigation, the charges levied are more severe and more numerous than those he previously faced.

'MAGA Bomber' Cesar Sayoc faces a possible sentence of life in prison on the basis of the charges, which include five counts of using a weapon of mass destruction, five counts of illegal mailing of explosives, and five counts of threatening interstate communications.

So...Cesar wrote a letter to a federal judge saying attending a trump rally "became like a new found drug". Man. Rational people understand that those rallies are nothing more than a chance to get his base jacked the hell up. Fuckin' klan rally.

Story

I was disappointed to read that Hasson will likely be released pending trial.

Snip:
On Thursday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Day noted that he is inclined to release Hasson pending trial, with heavy supervision, because Hasson has not been charged with any terrorism offenses.

Hasson was arrested Feb. 15 and is awaiting trial on firearms and drug charges. Prosecutors have said he created a hit list of prominent Democrats, two Supreme Court justices, network TV journalists and social media company executives.

Judge Day said he still has "grave concerns" about Hasson based on information prosecutors have presented. The magistrate said Hasson is "going to have to have a whole lot of supervision" before his release, a process that could take several days.

Day didn't order Hasson to be immediately released. The magistrate gave Hasson's defense attorney, Liz Oyer, a few days to arrange conditions of release that would be acceptable to the court. Prosecutors have vowed to appeal if Day does order his release.

Oyer said her client hadn't made any direct or specific threats to harm anyone. She said prosecutors are seeking to punish Hasson for "private thoughts" that he never shared. "They have not come forward with evidence that Mr. Hasson is a domestic terrorist because he is not," she told Day.

But prosecutors have said Hasson is a self-described white nationalist who espoused extremist views for years and "intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country."

In a February court filing, prosecutors said Hasson drafted an email in which he said he was "dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth."

Prosecutors have said Hasson appeared to be planning attacks inspired by the manifesto of Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian right-wing extremist who killed 77 people in a 2011 bomb-and-shooting rampage.

Investigators found 15 guns, including seven rifles, and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition at Hasson's basement apartment in Silver Spring, Maryland, prosecutors said. "He has these ready to go, ready for use."

Hasson's Feb. 27 indictment also accuses him of illegal possession of tramadol, an opioid painkiller.

Hasson pleaded not guilty last month to charges of illegal possession of firearm silencers, possession of firearms by a drug addict and unlawful user, and possession of a controlled substance. He faces a maximum of 31 years in prison if convicted of all four counts in his indictment.

Hasson, a former Marine, worked at Coast Guard headquarters in Washington on a program to acquire advanced new cutters for the agency. A Coast Guard spokesman has said Hasson will remain on active duty until the case against him is resolved.
