The unfortunate thing is that other people are affected-he insults CA for not raking their leaves, and threatens to not give aid because of it. Surely he has some supporters in CA?
Also Puerto Rico-he insults all of them-together as one entity-and does not want to give them aid.
When he insults coorporations it could have the risk of affecting people's jobs.

You are conflating two things. Trump merchandising go towards his campaign funds and the RNC general funds. So when they run races (there are a number of ones coming up in 2020) they will have advertising and promotional costs covered

As a useful tidbit, do you know why Hillary managed to screw Bernie and have all of the Super-delegates BEFORE the Democrat election? Because there was NO money in the DNC war chest and she put in her own money in exchange for the super-delegates and to be able to use the future DNC funds on her campaign. She effectively took it over.

So the merchandise aspect of Trump's campaign funds has fuck all to do with US government or the Embassies (in case you were too dense to distinguish them), so try again, Duchess.

So no, while he obviously doesn't hate all Puerto Ricans nor dos he even hate all the Puerto Rico leadership, there are ABSOLUTELY some who play against him and their constituents interests for political reasons and he SHOULD critique Puerto Rico as a country (Puerto Rico's inability to look after its infrastructure, inability to distribute the aid they requested and want to blame Trump for everything but the Hurricane and not take any responsibility themselves).

I believe too that IF a young recently annointed Junior senator who's background vaguely suggested that he grew up as a baby and child in Kenya and in adolescence in Indonesia and only later college years in America, was to suddenly be running for President with mysterious backing, absent Kenyan birth Dad and seemingly no verified connections to America before his college years...people COULD be understood having reservations as to his viability to be President. To be clear if the words Kenya was replaced with French and Indonesian replaced with Greece, it would not change the issue (it had nothing to do with race and everything to do with eligibility). Furthermore, Clinton had already suggested this was an issue. Trump capitalised on the issue. Was it insulting for Obama? Sure. Was its intent to needle Obama or address a presumed problem? I say the later.

You are not going to quibble over this point as you know as well as everyone here the terrible forestry maintenance and horrific homeless/drug addict/open sewer issue in urban cities in California such as San Francisco. There are a few homeless people in Canberra. I probably see about half a dozen in any week. I would be considering myself REALLY unlucky if I was unlucky enough to step in dog shit in the city. Walking around in the suburbs less in the way of homeless people but dog shit is something you keep half an eye out for but are unlikely to inadvertently step in or see any. 

I could not imagine having to avoid dog shit, human shit, IV needles pro-actively. Fuck THAT shit.

See my thinking is IF you are a President that is anti-establishment and companies are actively against you, your Administration, your party, your policies and your supporters, and refuse to respect this change and get with the program, then yes you as President should call out the company. Yes, a company IS its brand and, its actions, its owner and its leadership. Is it everyone who works for them? No. Most people in a company are not the maker of decisions or policy or influence the culture.
