I don't know about your work policies but we are actually allowed to hang up on customers who swear and insult us. We just have to warn them first that if their bad behavior continues we'll hang up. Its fun to see these abusive customers call back and try and act all sweet with another rep, not realizing we have notes on the record from his previous call.
