I just watched some video on the CNN site of Hamas setting up their rocket launchers in a residential neighborhood, other footage showed them doing the same outside of a UN school. 52

Well, they share the blood on their hands. Evil. Pure evil. Those poor children, this is why I don't take sides.

I've thought a lot about the day the kids were playing on the Gaza beach and were killed by rockets. Their families knew that bombs would be incoming there because Israel dropped notices from planes earlier, yet they let them play there. The people of Gaza need to come together and get Hamas the hell out of there. Like many things I'm sure that's easier said than done.

Actually when you think about it, Hamas cowards well knows their rockets most likely won't get through Israel's Iron Dome, but they shoot them off anyway. Fully knowing Israel will retaliate, thus causing the devastating civilian/children casualties, and then showing the nasty pictures making Israel the villain. There is a method to their madness, they're trying to turn the world, and somewhat succeeding (they have Aussie convinced) against Israel.

Hamas killed 30 of their own in Gaza. The land of truth and justice.

I'm not a fan of Israel. I think in their own way they are just as bad as Hamas. However, I don't exactly fault them for firing back.

Moose was the only one that I know of. Unless he was just fucking with me that time he told me I know nothing about his people in Israel.

Now that you mention it I do remember him referring to being Jewish. Crazy fuck. Wackiest person I've ever encountered online and that's saying something, I've encountered a few.

How many Jewish grandmothers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

None, it's ok, they can sit there in the dark, they'll be fine.

How do you fit 7 Jews in a Volkswagen?

Two in the front, two in the back and three in the ashtray.

That's the only Jew joke I know and they never laugh when I tell it for some reason.

Carsman, they don't have me convinced, I am hip to that scene. I know the score. I just don't think two wrongs make a right. Even if you were to start a fund to help the children, it would end up in some fatcats bank account and hardly any of it go to the children. Didn't that Yasser Arafat die with an 80Billion dollar fortune? How'd he accumulate all that? Public speaking?

NEGOTIATIONS STALL -- 72 HOUR TRUCE EXPIRES -- FIGHTING RESUMES

Well, the fighting is back on. Not too surprising, but very disappointing.

Immediately following the truce expiration, Hamas reportedly launched 30 rockets into Israel and Israel retaliated with airstrikes in Gaza.

The negotiations in Cairo, in a nutshell:
-Hamas reportedly agreed to extend the cease-fire in return for an agreement from Israel to end the border blockades so that Gaza Palestinians could travel and have exchanges and transactions beyond the small densely-populated strip. They also want 125 prisoners released from Israeli jails.

-Israel reportedly agreed to consider loosening the border policies with the condition that Hamas demilitarize (with provisions in place allowing Israel to monitor and ensure that weapons and materials for weapons-building weren't smuggled into Gaza after the border policy is loosened).

-Hamas declared that it will not demilitarize and the cease-fire expired.

-Talks are still underway with Palestinian factions in Cairo, but Israel officially pulled out stating that they won't negotiate while under fire.

ANOTHER 72-HOUR TRUCE UNDERWAY -- PEACE TALKS RESUME IN CAIRO

Gazans capitalize on the ceasefire, with residents returning to their homes and fishermen returning to sea

Israel and the Palestinians have begun indirect talks in Cairo to try and end the conflict in Gaza and lift the blockade on the coastal enclave, Egypt's state news agency MENA has said.

Egypt is acting as a go-between for the talks, which began on Monday a day after the two sides agreed to begin a new 72-hour truce.

Almost 12 hours into the truce, the skies over Gaza remained calm, with no reports of violations on any side and signs of life emerging from the war-torn coastal enclave which is home to 1.8 million Palestinians. Residents began returning to their damaged homes to see what belongings they could salvage and fishermen cast their nets out to sea.

This is the second round of indirect talks to take place in Cairo. The first failed to yield any results, and the temporary peace collapsed as the 72-hours drew to a close.

Egypt urged the warring sides to use the three-day lull to reach "a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire", which they failed to do last week.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said it would give the two sides "another chance to agree on a durable ceasefire" while stressing the importance of addressing "the underlying grievances on both sides".

Hamas has said that any permanent agreement must include Israel lifting its eight-year blockade on Gaza.

Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz said in a radio interview on Monday that disarming "Gaza militants" was crucial to sustain a long-term truce and he hoped this could be done by diplomacy rather than force. "I certainly hope that there will be a diplomatic solution. If there will not be a diplomatic solution, I am convinced that sooner or later we will have to opt for a military solution of taking temporary control of Gaza to demilitarise it again," he told Israel Radio.
