I've never heard of it, maybe because i live in a closet and only come out when something smells good.

Made Red Beans and Rice the ol fashioned way, washing it down with some homemade apple juice wine.

Hmmmm
The people in the mountain used to have that one day each week minus the wine.

Tonight I made falafel again, threw in some zuchini noodles again
and then put some black olives on my plate, cucumber and some greek yogurt (flavored)
Oh and avacodo

Last night was just chips and salsa

We've had frozen leftovers all week.    It's been hot here, and I hate cooking in the heat.

Yeah the heat. That's why I haven't hardly cooked this whole pandemic, not laziness. I MIGHT try cooking more crockpot recipes though. Found a website with easy 10 minute prep crockpot recipes.

The a/c just kicked on a 6 in the morning. red beans and rice is a hearty cheap meal.

I keep my house cold all year long so cooking doesn't bother me, not for that reason anyway. My neighbors never turn on their AC, I don't know how they can live like that. I like to snuggle up on the couch at night with a big throw blanket, not sit there with all the windows open with sweat pouring off me.

Fuckin' aye. I'm not sweltering inside for nobody. I like my bedroom like a meat locker so I can burrow deep.

Mmmmm. Someone just told me that we got a Popeyes in town and the first thing I thought of was red beans & rice.

I don't mind a little swelter. I don't have A/C but I have two 20 inch fans. One pointed at the bed, one pointed at couch. I also don't have a huge summer electric bill. $50-60 a month year round.

RE: what's for dinner? - sally - 05-28-2020

Mine is $500-$600 per month in the summer. I like it to be like winter inside my house year round. My garage even has central AC, I don't like sweating out there either.

You're living large when you have a fan just for your crotch.

I spend about that much per month on groceries, cigars, liquor, beer, and gas. I'll sweat a little so I can enjoy my weekends.

Someday......if I ever get a roommate, girlfriend or wife, or better paying job.

RE: what's for dinner? - Maggot - 05-28-2020

Unico systems are cheaper, just sayin. Little pipes 2-3" round they even work off heat pumps. 100.00 a month for a 4 bedroom. Not counting any other electrical crap. Maybe a 3-4000.00 initial startup.

RE: what's for dinner? - MirahM - 05-29-2020

Pep crunch pizza in the park.
I like to live on the cooler side myself, but in the wnter I like the heat on high.

Am I the only one putting on weight during this lockdown?
