Will they be able to vote? - Maggot - 06-15-2012

I have no doubt that that would be the next step for Barry in a desperate bid too win the next election.

The White House will halt the deportation of as many as 800,000 young illegal immigrants and in some cases give them work permits, in a sweeping new initiative announced by the Department of Homeland Security. The process will begin sometime in the next 60 days.

They will still not be able to legally vote with a work visa.

So to answer your question, yes under democrat rules they will be able to vote.

ABC

PHOENIX - Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio sat down at ABC15 to talk about the new changes by the Obama administration to stop deporting younger illegal immigrants.

The announcement came in around 6:30 a.m. Friday that some illegal immigrants will be granted work permits if they meet certain requirements.

"I think people from Mexico are now going to feel, 'Hey come on in and we'll get by with it.' But it won't happen in this county. They will still be arrested," Arpaio said.

According to The Associated Press, this change will affect as many as 800,000 immigrants who have lived in fear of deportation.

"This seems to be politically motivated," Arpaio said. "I would rather see the president let Congress decide what to do on this issue and other illegal immigration problems."

Obvious political ploy is obvious.

It's obviously obvious, as in we all can see it.

It's also obviously obvious that the lefts parade of fools will drop into lock step with it.

This disturbs me. Hell the dream act bugs the shit out of me.

That said, I want to keep the cheap field laborers, s'alright?

Who else would do it?

They have to be here for 5 years and have a high school diploma or GED to qualify. It may be 10 years. Jailbirds and unverified are still open game. The sheriff should just shut his mouth and dance within the boundries of the law and still get his job done. I feel he likes the limelight rather than getting a specific job done.

Now that i think about it, it's too bad we can't put prisoners out there or force able bodied welfare recipients to do the work (at the same rates the illegals get paid). It'll never happen; hence our economy needs that cheap labor or we could expect food prices to skyrocket IMO.

RE: Will they be able to vote? - Jimbone - 06-15-2012

There is likely a large enough prisoner workforce to do the agriculture jobs, and it shouldn't cost very much at all to have them work in the industry. What prevents this from happening is political will and lawyers.

I was talking to a representative that was also a lawyer and he said when you grant temporary legality it extends to all the legal implications allowed a legal citizen. I think they will be allowed to vote. It takes 4 yrs to complete high school so I believe the books are cooked when they estimate 800,000 people it might quite possibly be in the millions, considering the cap at 30 yr olds.
