A casual acquaintance of mine told me her kid had a "straight edge" tattoo inked on his arm. Skater kid . . . pleasant, polite, studious . . . and sports a creepy raped-goth meets old school hip-hop look.

I had no idea about the "straight edge" philosophy until she enlightened me.

She seemed puzzled when I questioned if tattooing didn't run contrary to the whole "body is your temple" thing.

OP, have you ever heard about him picking up homeless people & taking them out for a bite to eat? He's pretty generous with his cash too insofar as he passes out money to those same homeless individuals.

I don't know anything about him taking individuals out for meals but he does a shitload of charity work for drug addicts and the homeless. He used to be a heroin addict himself when he was young and he's passionate about drug addicts getting help instead of being ignored labelled and stereotyped.

His humour used to be quite cruel sometimes but he's mellowed and become very metaphysical about life. He's the kind of bloke I would definitely have as a guest at a dream dinner party because he's funny and articulate and intelligent.

Just keep him off the booze and heroin and he'd be fine.
