. . . . . . . . part of a dental implant today.
I didn't mention it before because I didn't want to get ragged on just how nasty a job it was getting one done.
It is a long drawn out process, but it should be worth it in the end. Hope so,
Anyway, the "flapping open" of the gum was done, drilling & drilling a hole into the jawbone done, the titanium insert collar was screwed in using a ratchet wrench, finally sutchering was done.
All this done under two hours, with no pain at all!
Several follow up visits still required, but supposedly this was the toughest segment!
I'm still groggy from the meds, not too much pain now, hope it stays that way!
(If you're squeamish, don't watch the video.)

Good job, old man.
Lets hope they stay in. You should have taken care of those teeth when you were younger.

I'f/when the time comes, I'm definitely getting dental implants as opposed to dentures. My mom has dentures and when she takes them out at night it looks like her face has collapsed. Fuck that.

(Nothing hot for 24 hours, and only soft foods. No spicy, no sauce, ugh)

OK, I'm now typing with one, as the other one is holding an ice pack on my cheek! It's keeping the swelling down.
Still no major pain, just a little swelling & soreness. New feeling for me.
Never had any "body work" done before
(typing pretty good with one hand, hitting shift key is hard!)
