Some wonderful changes for sure. Heller is out, so is that filthy bastard Kris Kobach and Walker too! Democrats won the Senate & governor races in Michigan, Wisconsin and PA! I'm pretty fuckin' satisfied this morning.
I don't think I will ever get over how much of the country is down with white supremacy, sometimes it's downright stunning to me. It's now my position that a vote for republicans is a vote for white supremacy. The end.
Let the investigations begin!

Heh. That's pretty much how it went down and then one minute I was awake and the next I was waking up this morning. My biggest wish came true, the other wins are just icing on the cake. That's not to say there isn't some disappointment as well but all in all I'm feeling pretty fuckin' good this morning.
Things are going to get very interesting now that we have some power, subpoena power, baybay. *flexes*

ITS A REALLY BIG DEAL!!!!
But is it really? Yes and no. The power is limited and the it WILL absolutely annoy and piss off the Republicans BUT what are the real concrete effect it is going to have?
Seriously, I KNOW the talk:
"We can subpoena Trump's tax returns!"
"We can perhaps impeach Trump!"
"We can investigate the Russia interference!"
"We will investigate Kavanaugh"
They have that power? No, not really. I mean yes in theory BUT breaking it down:
Trump will ignore subpoenas and then they demand and he lawyers up and they go to the supreme court and they find out just how worth it, it was attacking Justice Kavanaugh;
They get enough people to agree to impeach Trump and THEN all they have to do is to get 66 Senators in the senate to sign off on it and......hahaha good luck there when the Democrats have only 45 Senators in the Senate;
We can investigate the Russian interference - sure but it has already been investigated in the Senate and house already and is about to be finalised in the Mueller investigation - and it is highly likely that Huber and Horowitz are going to find some connections to Russia and a political party NOT called Republicans.
Investigate Kavanaugh.....for the 11th time with uncorroborated claims and especially after admissions from some elements of fabricating evidence.....that is going nowhere and will only serve to further alienate the Supreme Court from the Democrats.
So then they have no power? No, they have some power.
All of those House investigations into Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation and the like? Well they are going to get quashed and the house will be investigation other crap.
What about Trump's wall and stuff like that? Trump can either forget about that or have to get VERY creative to get around that.
What about the Huber and Horowitz investigations? What about them? No change.
What about any ongoing investigations? Do they just stop? No, but they better have them finished by January 1st.
What about Trump's plans to stock the courts with Conservative Judges? All good that is all done in the Senate.
What about any investigations in the senate or that will be started ion the senate? They are looking pretty good.
The House is only held for two years and if they do not impress they may find holding onto their seats difficult if they do not do much but obstruct Republicans and waste money on hapless investigations like ones that have already been investigated.
Still Yay for winning the House?

That's my first news of the day, and it's very good news.
Unsurprisingly, but nonetheless disappointing...................Republicans re-elected two Representatives under serious criminal indictments, Chris Collins of New York and Duncan Hunter of California.
Both men face charges wherein there is evidence that they egregiously used their positions to rip off the public they've sworn to serve. The people can and should do better rejecting candidates who only serve their own best interests, maybe next time.

The very best news for the nation happened, yes Dennis Hof won by a landslide.
Dennis Hof, a brothel owner who died last month, overwhelmingly won an election to Nevada’s State Assembly on Tuesday.
Hof, a reality-television star touted as the state’s most well-known pimp, ran as an outspoke Republican for Nevada’s Assembly District 36 before he died in October at the age of 72. Due to state law, however, he remained on the ballot and the state’s leading GOP officials had urged voters to still cast their ballots for him in order to deprive Democrats of the chance to flip the seat.
The Nevada Independent noted that signs had been posted at polling places throughout Hof’s district informing voters that he had died, but some estimates say he still won about 63 percent of the vote regardless.
The Nevada Republican Party will now be responsible for filling the dead man’s office

Yeah, same here.
I'm very pleased that the Dems won control of the House for the first time in 8 years, placing a major check on the President/Executive and the capitulating Republican Congress.
And, it was great to see so many motivated women winning their races and contributing to that victory. At least 99 women will be serving in Congress as of January 1 st. That's at least 15 more than the current congressional composition.
Outside of Congress, there was one woman who I really wanted to see lose her local re-election bid yesterday.
Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk made famous by her refusal to sign marriage licenses for gay couples, lost her position as Rowan County Clerk.
Davis, a Republican, lost to Democratic challenger Elwood Caudill Jr. by about 700 votes.

HaHaFuckinHa. I love this so much. The only thing that could have made it better is if a gay dude had been the one to beat her.

The Democrat is leading in Montana and we should know any time now if he has won, 99% is in. Hopeful!

It was also good to see yesterday's midterms resulting in more diversity in our elected leadership.
--The first Native American women (2) were elected elected to Congress, in New Mexico and Kansas.
--The first Muslim women (2) were elected to Congress, in Minnesota and Michigan.
--The first openly gay man was elected governor, in Colorado.
--The states of Tennessee and Arizona will send their first female senators to Congress, and Texas will send its first Hispanic female Representative.
--South Dakota elected its first woman governor.

The good thing about this is it gives everyone 2 yrs to see how screwed up the Dems really are before 2020. Their actions when they hold the house will be a reflection of any future gains if any.

Is he giving any advise on how to bring in crowds and how to talk without losing your voice. Because Barry sure could use some good advise I don't think any of the places he targeted got anyone elected.
