i really do feel for the children of the poor and addicted and shiftless and stupid. they see the same Christmas hype and TV and commercials all the other kids see. they believe in santa. i want them to have a few years of believing in santa, probably the only light in lives that will be total shit. just for a few years let them be little kids with sugarplums and reindeer in their dreams. and also tell them the true meaning of the day. in whatever terms they can grasp. it's a lovely story even if the parents don't believe in it. LET THE KIDS HAVE SOME MAGIC for a little while before going back to their dismal reality.
if i could i would personally see to it that all those little kids had a Christmas tree with a few presents under it. i give when i am SURE that's what the money goes for. Toys for Tots, Cops for Tots and other great groups.
