I was reading what black people have to say about it and, of course, they blame white folks. White people won't hire them they say. They forgot to mention they apply for jobs in saggy pants and a hoodie. I see decently-dressed black folks working all kinds of jobs. They have enough sense to dress professionally for interviews and at work. I see the hoodie guys at the car wash, so I guess they don't get the connection. Nobody cares how you dress at home. They do care when you want them to pay you.
Black folks also say they can't get ahead because nobody will lend them money or sell them houses. That, of course, is based on credit scores. If anybody refused to sell a house to a person because of race you KNOW they would sue. While fewer blacks own homes, the ones who did purchase them (with questionable lending guidelines) are more likely to lose them than their white counterparts (790/10000 black families foreclosed compared to 452⁄10000 white and 769⁄10000 Hispanic). The numbers show blacks are almost twice as likely to lose a home to foreclosure. Brown/black combined is 339% (three times) as likely as poor white trash.
A greater percentage of black folks live below the poverty level (there are more poor white people because there are more white people as of today, but a greater percentage of poor folks are black per capita) because the poverty level is determined by number of people in a household and average salary of each adult. Black families are more likely to be one-parent homes and also are more likely to have a larger number of children in the home. They even invented a word for the situation, "baby mama."
Education is free here, so is school lunch, so there is no possible good excuse there.
