I watched the first couple of seasons of Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab and Sober House with my nephew. I don't like reality shows much, so was surprised that I got caught up in the shows and enjoyed them.

Anyway, today Mindy McCready killed herself. I didn't know much about her as a country music singer, but she was on the show and had a lot of problems she was trying to overcome. It's not clear if drugs/alcohol were involved in her death. She has two young sons.

I wonder how successful rehab is in the long run when I think about the people that I rooted for on that show who've since died. Or, maybe it's harder to rehab celebrities given their lifestyles?

-Jeff Conaway, actor
-Mike Starr from Alice In Chains
-Rodney King (this one surprised me the most; he seemed very serious about recovery)
-Joey Kozar from MTV Real World
-Mindy McCready

I hope someone's keeping an eye on Heidi Fleiss living alone with all of her parrots in the California desert. She is one weird chick, but I really liked her and Rodney King a lot on the show.
