Nor does it have anything to do with how you run your sites.
Maggot has pointed out the issues everyone keeps complaining about from an objective point of view.
I've stated my opinion on an 'admin' point of view.
The ones who complain do so from a personal point of view.
Everyone has the right to complain but when you run a site, it's YOUR site. YOU get to make the rules and decide who's breaking them.
I can tell you that there are more people than not who join sites and not bother to read the rules. They think that every site has the same rules or that you're not going to catch them spamming or trolling.
I spend two hours out of every day swimming through spam registrations and deleting them, their posts etc. Trolls don't get to continue trolling. My sites and the ones I manage for others don't give second chances.
Frank, maybe you should put up specific rules for everyone then they can't complain when they break them because you have them there clear as day. Make them retro-active too.
