In my opinion, Kelsey was likely killed because Frazee and/or his mother wanted full custody of the baby and Kelsey would never give her up.
Now, the little girl is again the subject of a custody battle.

The court awarded Kelsey's mom, Cheryl (^ right), temporary custody after Frazee was arrested and charged with Kelsey's murder.

However, Frazee's mother, Sheila (^ right), has filed a petition with the court to serve as the baby's parent.
I sure hope the judge awards custody to Kelsey's parents.
