So, they had to entice Lee to tell the whole sordid story about a man she loved and to testify against him in court.  Lee's a piece of shit even if she believed Kelsey was abusive, in my opinion.  But, it's better for her to get off relatively lightly and be shamed for life than to have Patrick Frazee living freely with custody of the little girl.

I agree with this and I certainly do understand why they did what they did as far as the leniency goes. It's just so sad, I feel for Kelsey's family and I get irate sometimes because doing the right thing shouldn't be a difficult decision to make.
