YOU'RE BEING WATCHED
#1

Police cars are being equipped with license plate readers. It documents who you are, where you are, where you've been, etc. It is police surveillance & data collection, it doesn't matter a wit if you're a law abiding citizen who has done nothing to warrant this, what you think about it doesn't matter, you don't have a voice or the right to opt out.

At a rapid pace, and mostly hidden from the public, police agencies have been collecting millions of records on drivers and feeding them to intelligence fusion centers operated by local, state and federal law enforcement.

That bothers me more than the phone/internet monitoring. It's one thing when there's some intrusion at the federal level for security purposes. It's another thing when local LE invade my privacy to bust someone for an outstanding warrant.

I don't like it and of course it's happening all around me.

User, I don't differentiate between the two. An unwarranted intrusion from either offends me equally. If they put together a case against you and enforce an arrest it could stay on your record even if the expensive defense you paid for exonerated you. Most employment applications don't want any explanation beyond a yes or no to the question "Have you ever been arrested for something other than a traffic offense?"

This goes right in with what I've been saying. It's not about tinfoil hats and conspiracy theory; it's about basic violation of our civil rights on a wholesale scale.

Still think it's funny?

Still feel secure in your innocence?
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Yep, they have been implementing them for a couple years out here. The car repo guys too, you see tow trucks, usually with no shop affiliation signs on the side. There is a camera mounted on the front fenders, its connected to a DVR inside and internet connected. If a car tag that is on the pickup list anywhere in the country it gets reported up through a database and the operator gets a kickback from the finance company either a percentage, or they get the pickup order. For about $2000 you can get in on this deal, just driving through the parking lot at walmart can get you paid.
The cops use the same system, they drive around with the camera and computer on, when the camera sees a tag its looking for, or an expired one or whatever they get a notification.

Snowden is a fucking traitor. Exposing that the US was collecting data on its own citizens is one thing. Exposing our international spy activities is treason. I hope they catch his ass and lock him up for a very long time.

ETA: Appears he's going to take the UK down with us too. Nice.

I've seen this advertised before, but let it slide. Now, maybe it may be worthwhile to rethink getting it.

So what.

Losing the UK is like . . . losing North Dakota.

Or Rhode Island.

Oh don't be so melodramatic, nobody's taking anybody down. The US will be embarrassed as fuck, likewise the UK, but the stuff he's showing is exactly what every other country does to one another, they're all spying on each other constantly. Nobody in the world has the stones to truly try and censure us.

But make no mistake. For spying on its own citizens without cause or provocation or warrant, the NSA is both wrong and criminal. Doesn't matter who squealed.

He's a traitor. He went steps too far when he started offering up international spy activity. Fuck him.

You're beyond stupid if you think the US doesn't spy every where we can. I feel so bad about that! Not.

Wake me up when people are being taken away by black helicopters by the new world order to those FEMA concentration camps that Alex Jones is always ranting and raving about.

US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden has applied to Russia for political asylum Russian officials say.

Foreign ministry consul Kim Shevchenko said the request was made on sunday night. The Kremlin has made no comment.

The 30 year old former CIA analyst is believed to be holed up in a Moscow airport hotel.

Earlier Russian president Vladimir Putin said Mr Snowden was welcome to stay as long as he stopped “inflicting damage on our American partners”.

If Vladimir Putin thinks you being a stupid tit I think its time to reassess your actions.

What a twist of irony if he gets asylum in Russia, the very prototypical oppressive political system he claims to be escaping from.
