There are all kinds of stories out there right now. I'm not even going to read them. It looks like some people are on the verge of losing their minds about this Ebola being in the states. All I can do is educate myself with facts and not pay any attention to the bs.
One can't turn on the TV without them plastering on most channels all the nasty Ebola things happening. It's difficult to "TRUST" anybody these days.
It may be prudent to just lay somewhat low for the next few weeks, and see what shakes out.

Cars, do you worry about getting Aids? I ask because your chances of getting Ebola are about the same. Those with Ebola are not contagious until they are exhibiting symptoms and I sincerely doubt you are going to be around anyone who is vomiting or bleeding. It is not as easy to catch as you seem to think it is.
Stop listening to people who are telling you the sky is falling. It's not.
I really am not worried as much as you may think, or I act like I am.
I'm more concerned that our illustrious leaders will botch the overall situation. I realize that the threat is minimal right now, and chances are very slim for being infected. However, if "they" do let it get out of hand, as great as this country is, we may not be able to handle the exponentially spread of the virus, especially if it mutates to being "airborne"!
This just in this morning's News:
Dr. Richard Sacra, (back from Liberia) who had been previously treated for Ebola is back in the hospital. They don't think it is resurfaced Ebola, but are keeping a watch on him. Time will tell.
As previously mentioned, it may be prudent to somewhat lay low for the next few weeks, to see what shakes out.
(Glad I won't tentatively be flying in a plane for at least the next 7 or 8 weeks)

I'm now more concerned about the Enterovirus 68.A 4-year old boy just died of this in NJ.The difference with his case was there were no symptoms before he died. They put him to bed and he passed away overnight.
I just want to put my kids in a fucking bubble!

In the space of a month you have survived Ebola & the Enterovirus 68. You are a living, breathing miracle. Praise the Lord & sweet baby Jesus. Hallelujah!

It's mainly younger kids that are experiencing these severe symptoms.Paralysis, wheezing or general breathing problems.
At first they said only children with asthma and pre-existing conditions were at risk. But the 4-year old from NJ was healthy no asthma etc.The only thing is he was a preemie(one of triplets).So..idk..

(CNN) - A nurse's assistant in Spain is the first person known to have contracted Ebola outside of Africa in the current outbreak.
Spanish Health Minister Ana Mato announced Monday that a test confirmed the assistant has the virus.
The woman helped treat a Spanish missionary and a Spanish priest, both of whom had contracted Ebola in West Africa. Both died after returning to Spain.

Apparently there is no more anti-virus medicine. I could be misunderstanding this but it's my understanding they only had one or two doses and the missionary got one of them. Again, this is just my understanding and I may not have paid good enough attention to the story at the time but if that's true why in the world would they only have a couple doses of life saving medicine?

Another person who came in contact with patient zero (Duncan), possibly infected with Ebola.
News conference to be held at 3:30 westernSt
snip:
FRISCO (CSBDFW.COM) - An afternoon news conference has been called in Frisco, a suburb of Dallas, to discuss a possible second case of Ebola.
According to a statement from the City of Frisco, the patient claims to have had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, referred to as Dallas ‘patient zero.’
It is not clear how the patient had contact with Duncan or if the patient was one of the about 50 people being monitored by federal, state and local health officials.
The call came in shortly after noon from Care Now, 301 W. Main Street, where the patient was “exhibiting signs and symptoms of Ebola.”
CBS 11 has confirmed with Care Now that the patient checked yes to one of the screening questions regarding travel to West Africa. The facility is in contact with the Centers for Disease Control and is holding everyone in the facility until receiving clearance from the CDC. The patient is being transported to a nearby hospital by Frisco firefighter-paramedics.

This country better get a system in place pretty damn quick to better screen/test/ prohibit anyone in Ebola (OBola ) ridden countries looking to return to America. At least until we have a vaccine to cure it, in ample supply, or possibly risk serious deadly consequences.
(currently, without a viable vaccine, Ebola is a death sentence)
