#41
I'm having rum balls and booze/liquor Christmas Eve as me and my friends play pool and poker. And going to my oldest brother's for ham and/or turkey dinner on Christmas Day.

I just ate like 12 rum balls today and feel like Haystack Calhoun now. Is it OK to drive and eat them freaking things?

I've had all kinds of balls in my mouth, but never a rum ball. Is it like a little rum soaked doughnut?

Rum is put in before baking them. I could still taste the rum as i was eating them. These had white powdered sugar on them and it got all over the place.

Dammit, no rum balls until New Years! But one of my friends is making us breakfast on New Year's Day.

Eggnog french toast today with a little cinnamon sprinkled on with sausage and real maple syrup. I put a splash of baileys in it when no one was looking. I ate 6. Yes, real Canadian white bread.

Off to Christmas Dinner at my oldest brother's house in about an hour. Dad is already complaining about going....about his aches and pains....how he doesn't feel well..."Merry Christmas". I drank too much last night, went to bed late and woke up way too early and you don't hear me complaining.

Does anyone like fruitcake? I remember trying it as a little kid and it was not good. I've never tried it again that I can recall.

I do, done right it's wonderful. Fruit cake has a bad rep.

I think some people might try to skimp on the quality of the dried fruit. It truly is one of those things where you get what you pay for. All dried fruit is not created equal.

Have you ever tried "Italian Panettone Rasiin Cake"? It's got dried fruits in it as well as rasins, and it is delicious! 44 (Try it, you'll like it)
