THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
trump was interviewed on MTP this morning. During the interview he said some United States House of Representatives should go to jail, he further clarified by saying "everybody on the committee" that investigated his role in the J6 insurrection.

I was all for pardoning the people that trump has spent years threatening until I learned one has to admit to guilt in order to get a pardon. I should have known that given how critical it is, but I did not.  Smiley_emoticons_slash

Welker- Do you have an actual plan at this point for health care?

trump- yes, we have concepts of a plan that will be better.

Welker- Still just concepts? Do you have a fully developed plan?

trump- we have the biggest health care companies looking at it. We have Dr's that are always looking BECAUSE Obamacare stinks.

I can’t copy/paste text here for shit. I just read that in 2021 the 10th Circuit ruled that accepting a pardon doesn’t constitute admitting guilt. I wondered because Joe gave Hunter a blanket pardon so how/why would he admit guilt for crimes he hasn’t even been charged with? I would guess if Biden pardons the 16 committee it would be a similar blanket pardon.

Oh! That's wonderful to read! I am delighted to be wrong!

Yo…RC! Remember when u suggested investing in rare minerals? It’s probably too late for this info too (because as I said, investors are always looking weeks and months out) but I’ve heard that many stocks based in China are for sale, cheap now, because the assumption is Trump will tank the Chinese market. Some people are taking the opportunity to buy some Chinese stocks low now predicting that the market in China won’t actually take the hit expected and the stocks will bounce back.

I feel like I should add a disclaimer: “there’s always a risk of loss in investing…” yada, yada.

We have this piece of shit because stupid people in America outnumber the rest of us. I was wrong thinking otherwise.

This isn't cute or funny. He's the goddamn president-elect.

Jeebus. It’s amazing how people judge aging. Biden showed he was declining in obvious ways (his gait, halting speech, gaffes etc). Trump is CLEARLY not all there cognitively (and has shown significant decline over the last 4-6 years) but because he can still stand at a podium and climb stairs and make word salad and shit, nobody focuses on his aging brain. He’s fucking OLD. But teflon POTUS; no one makes a big deal out of that.

McConnell fell and hit his head and sprained a wrist today. That’s news (he’s OLD!!). Trump talks gibberish and it’s “just Trump”. Pathetic.

OLD FARTS SHOULD NOT BE ALOUD TO RUN FOR POTUS NO MATTER WHAT PARTY THEY BELONG TO. THE END!

Age Limit of "65" should be maximum aloud to run for POTUS.

I would be looking for a safe haven for the foreseeable future as there is tremendous volatility now with all the sanctions and international tensions, and central bank digital currency being rolled out soon, I think. If Trump's serious about defending the dollar rather than going along with the creation of a new global reserve currency, I think that's a big part of why the internationalists oppose him. Fascism is not something they oppose, though I think their preference is corporate communism.

There will always be high demand for fossil fuels and rare earth minerals, and China and Russia are well-positioned, but I've heard that the Chinese banking sector is very weak. Not sure if that's true but they may be counting on the new global finance system being rolled out, as their currency would factor into the new regime, which I'm guessing is BRICS. I don't see paper assets as being a good option now. Be interested to know what your husband thinks about this.

Agreed (65-70) and I think there should be age limits for other office holders too. Sad because some elder statespeople bring valuable wisdom to the table but everyone ages differently and a limit seems like the only fair standard.

I’ll ask him. I’m at a little resort getaway—get home tomorrow. I’m sure WHATEVER his thoughts are, he’s balancing the investments. I learned more than I care to know about asset allocation when he first got into the business and while some of his clients have a higher risk tolerance than others, at least for us he probably takes medium risk (and he tries to dissuade the clients that he has who want to throw all their money into a given investment). Some people…it’s like a gambling addiction and they’re always looking for the fast returns. While he’s liking some Chinese stocks, he’s not betting the house on them (and yeah, probably setting us and his clients up with investments that will withstand volatility). He’s really good at his job. He switched firms around 4.5 years ago and over 92% of his clients moved with him (which is not common). He can be a total asshole too though (j/s!!) but work wise? He’s earned the loyalty and respect he gets.
