Socialism: the unvarnished truth....
#21
Progressives believe that there is a "Socialism Lite". That it is Socialism that is not extreme and demand sensible and reasonable redistribution of wealth through increased taxes and that the ONLY reason there are no examples is that it has not been done correctly. If only there was a leader with their compassionate moral and sophisticated intellect!

"Imagine all the people living life in peace..."

The truth is that the people spouting this BULLSHIT are the ones that do not know human nature. They:
a) would likely be corrupt or alternatively too incompetent to implement it.
b) in the unlikely chance that they were a Saint-like moral paragon of virtue, they would be the first put to the sword by the corrupt, who would take advantage of the control yielded to non-individual entities.

Socialism is great, when people/communities do it; when governments do it, it's horrible.

Can you explain why that is, Duchess?

PS, Truman was the kind, loving gentleman that signed off on the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, war crimes every bit as horrific as those that the Nazis and Soviets had committed. A Pandora's Box if ever there was one.

No, I can't, but I'm not someone who minds helping others. Generally speaking, I think people are worthy and I don't mind sharing. I have friends & family who view the world as black or white, right or wrong, I see life as more gray. Shit happens and people can be victims of circumstance. I hate that word victim, but I lacked a better term. I LIKE to help people who aren't as fortunate as I've been. Life is hard and it's unfair and sometimes people just need a helping hand & a leg up.

I don't mind helping people. It's when they expect or demand I help that pisses me off.

Socialism is a political ideology that advocates for an egalitarian redistribution of wealth and power in society through the redistribution of society’s means of production and wealth.

Therefore, the outcome  is an economic doctrine that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources.

According to the socialist views, individuals do not live or work in isolation but live in cooperation with one another. Furthermore, everything that people produce is in some sense a social product, and everyone who contributes to the production of a good is entitled to a share in it.

A socialist economy features social rather than private ownership of the means of production. It also typically organizes economic activity through planning rather than market forces, and gears production towards needs satisfaction rather than profit accumulation.

In a perfect world, where honorable people/companies could be trusted to abide by this ideology, it likely could succeed.

However, since we do not live in a perfect world, people/companies posessing wealth, would robustly resist
redistribution of their assets/wealth to the general public. The resistance is certainly understandable.

Working to become a socialistic society, would take some years to slowly become a reality. IMO.

Albert was raised by a Black nanny who cared deeply about, fought for the Confederates as a teenager then married a Black woman and became a social activist in Chicago.

The Albert Parsons Project. I mean, people are so retarded and backwards that based on how much melanin you have on your skin I feel entitled to pull rank on you as a superior human being. These people are so revolting, they need to be done for treason, and their organisations systematically destroyed.
