In fifty years from now people will look at pictures like this and wonder if the doctors were using rocks for surgical tools.

I can't believe the fucking hubby only got 7 years in prison.

But what I can't believe even more is how he missed killing her and himself with a fucking shotgun in the attempted murder-suicide...::blink::

How can that be that he only gets seven years for attempted murder ?...That doesn't even make a little bit of sense...Our justice system is so fucked up.

Bless her heart, but she doesn't even look like a real human being anymore.

Poor woman, I feel for her.

I feel for her too...I don't think I could ever be so brave if my face was blown off...It shames me a little to realize how shallow I am when it comes to my looks, I'd rather be dead than go through life looking like that.

I'm ashamed to admit I feel the same way and I'm no great beauty.

The proportions are off on the final photo... if they could've just added her nose back and maybe fixed her mouth, the second photo's proportions look more 'real.' Somehow, they narrowed her forehead and made her jaw look wider in that third photo...

I saw a slideshow about a very beautiful girl that was in a drunk driving accident and suffered a LOT of burn injuries... she goes around the country now giving talks about the dangers of drinking and driving. I actually cried when I watched that, what a lot of courage to even go out in public, in my humble and cowardly opinion.

If I had a face like that I would live in the dark basement of a theatre writing and composing my own musical while laughing maniacallyand wearinga mask.

Wow...That's some story...I was hesitate to look at the photos but, I'm glad I did...She is wearing mascara & liner, it made me happy to see that, it means she cares about her appearance, even given what it is...She is so brave...I was very taken aback to learn she still loves this man and has forgiven him.

jb, can you elaborate a little as to why that man only got 7 yrs. for doing what he did ?...That's mind blowing to me.

i honestly don't know. each state has its own statutes/penalties. i would have to read the trial transcript and see what mitigating factors there were. not that i think anything mitigates that.
