FOR THE LOVE OF AN ANIMAL
#1

Would you risk your life to save your pet or another animal that you didn't know?

I would risk my life for my animals. My animals are like my kids. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Not risk my life, no.

Maybe my own pet, but not a strange animal. I do have three kids and a family who would probally be pissed if I died in a fire trying to save a damn cat.

for him, the K-9, yes, as he would have for me. but otherwise no, as much as i love animals my family needs me and i'm not taking a bullet, drowning or getting run over for a squirrel a bird or even Bambi. or any other animal. perhaps sad, but pragmatic.

Looks just like my old boy Teo. He'd have risked his life for me, so I probably would have done the same for him. But a strange animal? Nope.

It would depend on the degree of risk, just getting hurt, or getting killed.

Just getting hurt, yes, getting killed, no.

Not intentionally but I'm the crazy that slams my brakes on when a squirrel crosses the road. One day, there's going to be somebody behind me.

I freak out driving on some of our highways--deer. I would hope I wouldn't swerve in to a semi or something trying to avoid hitting one but I'm not certain how I'd react.

I drove to the coast once ...about a 4 hour drive...if I stopped and carried one turtle to the side of the road, I bet stopped 20 times.....must have been mating day or some damn thing...they were everywhere - never seen anything like it. Was only a 2 lane road so wasn't too dangerous...animals are incredibly awesome.

I got between my Beagle and a roti last summer. When I heard my precious Beagle Chloe howl in pain I didn't think, I just reacted. After being drug over 50 feet, having my clothes torn off me, having my fingers almost bitten off and blood everywhere, I ended up being able to grab an iron table and use it to beat off the Roti.

We were lucky. Beagle Chloe had her ear sewn back on (gotta love those Beagle ears---they covered her throat) and I was on meds for a month. The roti was not so lucky and was put down (bad owners111).

My Vet was actually the one who popped me on the head and asked WTF I was thinking but said he would have did the same thing.

Prior to that I broke up another dog fight with a shovel.

Looking back I would think more than once or twice or thrice before jumping into a dog fight again. But I also would still protect my Beagle Chloe a million times over.

I would risk my life for my pets, they're like children to me, it goes without saying id risk my life for my children. For a stray, or a pet I didn't know, id think twice.
Just shut up. Just shut the fuck up right now.

I total my truck flipping it in a ditch just to miss hitting a deer. how ever if i hit it & killed it i would have prolly did the same danage if not worse. however for my own pets I would try my best to save them unless i knew i would die. then no i have a daughter to live for..but i am also one of those people who try my hardest to miss hitting anything running across the street (squirel, cat, rabbit) w.e it is slamming on my breaks or swerving never thinking to look behind me or in the next lane to see if theres a car. smh

I was cutting grass by my garden pond & ran over a frog, it made me cry, silent tears, not the ugly face sobbing. 78

Welcome to the club Duchess. I know I am WAY too emotional about animals. I wanted to take all the puppies home from the shelter. I loved them all!

I didn't know a Duchess had to cut her own grass! Smiley_emoticons_skeptisch

If'in you had a lawn service, you would never have had that sorrow.
