I will be singing this little ditty on the Twelfth of August.
The Sash Sure I'm an Ulster Orangeman from Erins isle I came To see my British brethren all of honour and of fame To tell them of my forefathers who fought in days of yore That I might have the right to wear the sash my father wore Chorus Its old but it is beautiful and its colours are so fine It was worn at Derry Aughrim Enniskillen and the Boyne My father wore it in his youth in bygone days of yore And on the twelfth I love to wear the sash my father wore For those brave men who crossed the Boyne have not fought or died in vain Our unity, religion, laws and freedoms to maintain If the call shall come we will follow the drum and cross the river once more That tomorrows Ulsterman shall wear the sash my father wore Chorus And when someday you cross the sea to Antrims shore you come We will welcome you in royal style to the sound of flute and drum And Ulsters hills will rattle still from Rathlin to Dromore As we sing the royal strain to the sash my father wore

They'll fight and don't surrender But come when duty calls With heart and hand and sword and shield We'll guard old Derry's walls I'll be singing that little ditty as well!

Just heard a song from a group that burst on the music scene in the early 90's, and just as suddenly, seemed to disappear.
Fields are white in snowy spring and I can't Remember the last time I've seen her. The highway is still cold and wet and I can't Forget the way I had to leave her. And every passing day, she flickers and she fades. Is someone there to catch her when she falls from the heavens? And I'll love her yet, though she has done me wrong. And I'll bring her back, though she has been long gone. And I'll always be her... Broken Hearted savior. And every heavy night takes out the little life that's left within her. Every man she gives her love, he takes it, and leaves her with a dinner. Our love was once a flame, now I'm just a forgotten name, Am I the only one to blame for having, loving her? And I'll love her yet, though she has done me wrong. And I'll bring her back, though she has been long gone. And I'll always be her... Broken Hearted savior. -Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Broken Hearted Savior, from Sister Sweetly Circle and Bittersweet also came from that album.

Good to see you, Tiki!
Looking forward to seeing you back here when you have time. Traveling at night, the headlights were bright And we'd been up many an hour And all through my brain Came the refrain Of home and it's warming fire Bonnie Raitt, Home

Almost Home for a spell. Just a bit more drivin' . . . Diamonds on my windshield Tears from heaven . . . Blazin' through this neon jungle Remember someone that you met And one more block, the engine talks in whispers, "Home at last" Whispers, whispers, whispers, "Home at last, home at last" TOM WAITS - DIAMONDS ON MY WINDSHIELD

Tom Waits is almost a weakness for me.
I could see a two day bar-hop with the man turning into a year long road trip requiring a 2 year recovery period and totally worth every minute. Love that song. I used to travel about 50% of the time for business (got burnt out on it after 10 years; now I kinda miss it 10 years later). I think you're on the move a lot for business (and fun, hopefully). As a traveler and explorer, you probably appreciate these these lyrics, Tiki. @Crash too. Always good to be on the road, and always nice when it's been long enough and you're able to head back home. Oh it gets so lonely When you're walking And the streets are full of strangers All the news of home you read Just gives you the blues Just gives you the blues So I bought me a ticket I caught a plane to Spain Went to a party down a red dirt road There were lots of pretty people there Reading Rolling Stone reading Vogue They said "How long can you hang around?" I said a week maybe two Just until my skin turns brown Then I'm going home to California Oh it gets so lonely When you're walking And the streets are full of strangers All the news of home you read More about the war And the bloody changes Oh will you take me as I am? Will you take me as I am? Will you? From: California by Joni Mitchell, 1970

Not sure which way we're rolling...men fighting to keep their girl from another admirer, or men who like to be admired when dressed as a girl.
I'll go with B because I love this song... Girls will be boys and boys will be girls It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola La-la-la-la Lola
