it is usual that if a defendant takes a plea, he/she must allocute. it is done all the time. they are required to detail their crime in open court.

that is the only way a deal would be struck for either defendant. the whole story, the whole truth, and snitching. that can be a hurdle for them.

and we are just speculating a deal is on the table.

remember BTK killer? he had to stand in the well of the court and detail every single cruel murder. it was sickening.

This doesn't relate to the case at all, but it was in the Holland Journal this week that Lindsay Straub is on the Dean's List at UT (University of Toledo). I was pleased to see that she is doing well after all that her family has been through the past year.
