Me and some friends were sitting around yacking about one of their favorite studies of interest; paleoanthropology. He was saying how new research suggests that human ancestors and chimps were interbreeding for 4 million years starting 6 million years ago. We had already figured out the reason that humans are the only species on the planet with 46 chromosomes. Anything that could produce offspring was already part of the human race.

Now that everything is within the fold and part of our ancestry we're busily mating everything on the planet with the same number of chromosomes whether they want to or not.

The next time you're wondering what's wrong with people think about humans being unique in having nothing with which we can (still) breed.
