The House has passed several bills to open the government in the last few weeks. They are all sitting on Mitch McConnell's desk, who is no where to be found. trump isn't getting his fuckin' wall. The end. He has already publicly owned the shut down, if you missed it I can dig up some video proof to back up my claim.

Being that he campaigned on the wall. He was promised money for a wall last year that never came and it was promised (at last year's EOY Budget) by the same arseholes who refuse to sign it now.

It is hardly a temper tantrum to deliver what is promised or hold out until he gets what he promised and campaigned on and was promised.

In fact it would be dishonest to misrepresent it in those terms because of these facts.

Not to say, of course, that the wall is good, bad or indifferent, the shutdown is a good idea or bad idea, or anything more. In fact it could really hurt his re-election hopes maybe. Anything is possible and within the universe there is likely many reasonable positions to hold over the shutdown. That it is a temper tantrum is not one of them.

What happened to the illegals at Pelosi's place? I missed the outcome of that.

I might come across as one of the "loony left" but I'm actually fairly moderate. It's just that compared to the MAGA crowd here, I look extreme because they're so far to the right. They'd defend anything and everything the Republican party and especially Trump shits out for their consumption. I've never seen such blind loyalty, it's bizarre.
