RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - Cutz - 11-23-2014

You'll just have to imagine him chasing turkeys in heaven. And when he catches one, they're full of stuffing and mashed potatoes instead of blood and organs. Condolences.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - Carsman - 11-23-2014

Thanks Cutz, Thanksgiving will never be the same for our family.
(He is sorely missed right now, Thanksgiving . . . . . . .)

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - ramseycat - 11-23-2014

First year without both my mom and my brother. I'm not really in the holiday spirit. But I'll go to Detroit and have a good time.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - Donovan - 11-23-2014

I hate thanksgiving. I don't like being with these people 364 days of the year and neither does anyone else, why the fuck would we torture ourselves in the name of family? My family sucks. I'd rather work double time and a half.

But the GF likes it. So off we go. Meh.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - Duchess - 11-23-2014

I won't be with any of my family, I live too far away.

It will be a sad Thanksgiving for us this year, as our daughter's beautiful Westie (like part of the family) died yesterday. He had been part of our Thanksgiving dinner's for the last "14" years. And every year, myself & my betterhalf would always get in trouble with our daughter for over feeding him with turkey, mashed potatos, apple pie, and anything else he liked.
We won't be in trouble this year, so very sad! (Things are a little blurry right now, gotta go)

Sorry about your Daughters husband. Sometimes it takes a few weeks to for it to really sink in, especially if they were married for a long time. 14 yrs is quite a while by todays standards, at least that's what I hear.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - ramseycat - 11-23-2014

Mag's? Are you high?

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - blueberryhill - 11-23-2014

Yes, Maggs, are you on something? Sorry, this is not funny, but again, I had to laugh out loud after reading something in Mock.

I do get a little fruity around the holidays. Love025

Would you be interested in a freshly hand picked pineapple from Maui?

I chuckled also, that was his intent, right Maggs?

hah. I don't know if you were kidding or not, but it's funny either way.

Sorry about the dog, Cars.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - Maggot - 11-24-2014

Crap............sorry, I didn't see the dog thing I don't know what a westie is and thought it was a nickname or something.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - sally - 11-24-2014

You thought her beautiful husband was named Westie 28. That's the funniest thing I've read here in along time. I know it was at the expense of a beloved family pet, but still.

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - HairOfTheDog - 11-24-2014

I'm starting to get a little excited about Thanksgiving; just finished putting away the groceries.

It was over $150 and I'm only cooking for 4, including myself (and someone else is bringing the alcohol).

Ah well, it'll be enough food for a couple of days, so I guess it's really not that expensive. Kinda surprised me that a 12 pound turkey costs over $25 though.

I'll say! Gosh, your cost of living is so high out there. That same turkey would have been less than $12.00 here.

Yeah, but the one HotD got, already has the feathers off! hah

RE: THANKSGIVING WEEK - Duchess - 11-24-2014

Now you know damn well I don't clean no bird. Butterballs are selling for .88 cents right now.

And the head too! Smiley_emoticons_wink

If I'd have known it was so much cheaper, I might have snagged a pluckin' fair feathered one instead.
