The gang, some evacuees from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina hit five years ago, may have killed up to 30 people within a two-year period in an attempt to dominate the Atlanta crime scene, according to media reports.

The district attorney’s office provided these details on the three crimes:

Mr. Stevens and other gang members planned to burglarize Mr. Mamadou Barry, a Warehouse owner and business associate of Mr. Steven’s father. But when the African businessman returned home unexpectedly that November in 2005, the defendants hog-tied, handcuffed, duck taped, and suffocated (with a plastic bag over his head) him and left his body inside the bathtub of his West End apartment.

Less than a year later, gang members gunned down Ryan Harmon, a soldier who had just returned home after completing his tour in Iraq. Days before his murder, Mr. Harmon and his friends had a dispute with Mr. Stevens and his co-defendants outside a local nightclub. In the early morning hours of April 13, 2006, Mr. Stevens and his co-defendants saw Mr. Harmon driving and followed him. Mr. Stevens pulled out an AK 47 assault rifle and shot at the back of Mr. Harmon’s vehicle at least 14 times; hitting Mr. Harmon twice and causing him to crash.

Less than five months later Mr. Stevens and co-defendants held at gunpoint a man they were previously gambling with, intending to rob him. On Sept. 11, 2006, they forced Mr. Gary Lester into a vehicle and ordered him to call his girlfriend at their East Point apartment. While some gang members held Mr. Lester hostage in one location, other IRC members and associates burglarized his home, forced his girlfriend to strip naked and eventually took many of the victim’s personal belongings. The IRC members took Mr. Lester to a remote location, handcuffed him and tried to suffocate him with a plastic bag. But Mr. Lester broke free. Someone pointed a gun at the victim’s head but it jammed when the trigger was pulled. The gang members let Mr. Lester go at that point, concluding that it was an “Act of God” that he survived death twice.

Sure, murder by plastic bag has happened, but compared to gun murders, is very very rare. Without knowing the statistics, I would venture to guess that for every murder by plastic bag, there are 1000 murders by gun.

Could have been. I think strangulation is classified as asphyxiation. However, if she was strangled then I don't see the need for the bag.

I think everyone can agree that the "unidentified female" is Maytee as she keeps saying my son.

More stuff that bothers me...

1. She says, "I just saw them" Yet it has been reported in PRINT that she waited in the car while her husband and cousin went to see if they could see anything. The cousin comes running back yelling call an ambulance, call the police...so Maytee did not see them when she said she did.

2. I can't see any way where you would say the word towels instead of duck tape.

3. The basement??? I don't even know where the hell she got this...You don't confuse a kitchen/family room combo with a basement.

4, Cell phones on their bodies? LE did not report this tho they reported cell phone parts strewn all over...I just think this is completel fabrication

5. Lisa has no top on. Lisa's uncle has confirmed that Lisa was still in her uniform..she was not found undressed.

All of Maytee's 911 calls in my opinion are half truths and complete fabrication and exaggeration about what was said and what occurred, and what she saw or didn't see. I swear, everything she says muddies the water further and makes it more difficult to weed out fact from fiction.

I think their so-called friends know more than they are letting out. I also heard that Lisa’s ex-boyfriend was abusive to her in the past… I then heard she had just recently changed her Fb status to engaged, :and her picture with her and Johnny….hummmmmm. LS was found without her shirt. This was very personal. They said that JC first said "what the fuck are you doing here bro".... He knew her ex, since he was stalking her.
I feel terrible for the families…

Jane, yes that is what the coroner stated. But asphyxiation is lack of oxygen, it can be from smothering or choking or strangulation. I'm trying to find a reason for the damn pants being under her head.

This couple is the only positive influence that Johnny had in his life. Johnny was like a son to them....you have no idea what they are going through. I can assure you that the picture of Aunt Mag was a bad editors choice to use (their tears are real and genuine). Maggie is the complete opposite of her "Evil" sister. For nearly 5 years Johnny lived with his aunt and uncles house while Mommy was no where no be found. Poor Johnny to be born into that enviroment. Things all changed once Mommy came back in the picture.

I've come to the conclusion she's a piss poor excuse of a mother.

she was found with only her work pants on. i think that she was planning on changing into those pants to go out when she heard commotion and ran out to see what was going on.
