I feel like we are entering tinfoil hat territory again here.

I think it's the money interests who buy influence in the US govt. It results in things like Monsanto getting afforded protections that I disagree with. Also money to be made from the manufacture of arms and selling them to both sides to countries involved in war could make those who benefit from from such sales hope that a warlike mentality continues and they may see peace as a threat to their future profits. The lengths to which they are willing to go to guarantee these future profits remains in question. So I am not naming anything or any one but suspect greed on the part of some in powerful money positions corrupts them to buy influence as they have means and opportunity and motivation to do so.

The Ruskies are still insisting that Snowden is not in Russia even though sources are saying he definitely got on a plane and flew to Moscow on Sunday. Russia rejects American attempts to blame them for his disappearance.
US Secretary of state John Kerry said the US did not seek “confrontation” but Russia should hand over Mr Snowden.
I don't know if we should trust Kerry though after all he's got the word “secret” in his job title!

An example of what money can buy in the U.S. by large corporations.

8 foods in the U.S. that are banned in 100 countries.
1. Artificial food dye: Makes your food pretty and can inhibit nerve-cell development.
Found in: Practically everything we eat: cake mixes, sports drinks, cheese, candy, and even MACARONI AND CHEESE.

Why it’s dangerous: Artificial dyes are made from chemicals derived from petroleum, which is also used to make gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt, and tar! Artificial dyes have been linked to brain cancer, nerve-cell deterioration, and hyperactivity in children, just to name a few.

Where it’s banned: Norway, Finland, Austria, France, and the U.K.

2. Olestra (or Olean): Lowers calorie counts while causing vitamin depletion and anal leakage.
Found in: Fat-free potato chips, corn chips, and French fries.

Why it’s dangerous: Created by Procter & Gamble as a substitute for cooking oil, Olestra robs your body of its ability to absorb vitamins. Fun side effects include cramps and leaky bowels.

Where it’s banned: The U.K. and Canada.

From whistleblowers to “anal leakage” in less than 8 pages is pretty good going even by our high standards.

Erm....no.

One of the food additives maggot mentioned in his post above is said to cause, and I quote, “anal leakage”.

You should be proud your socialized country does not allow quite a few of those additives to get to "the people".

My mistake...I see it #2. Olestra (or Olean): Lowers calorie counts while causing vitamin depletion and anal leakage. IIRC it is an indigestible fat that passes through the digestive system unassimilated causing problems and vitamin malabsorption. The problems arise from the body's attempt to quickly expel something foreign and threatening to its health.

The only thing we have socialised that you don't is healthcare.

Our libraries are socialised like yours.

Our postal system is socialised like yours.

Our military is socialised like yours.

Our fire service is socialised like yours.

Time for more 350 year old quotes from a bunch of freemasons about liberty and how they are important in fighting 21st century internet jihadism and all the acts of terror committed in its name.
“Liberty is of the upmost importance....unless you give me the correct funny handshake at which case I wlll meet you at the nudge nudge and the wink wink for a you know what”.

It's confirmed that Snowden is still in Russia... Big surprise.

MOSCOW — Russian President Vladimir Putin bluntly rejected U.S. pleas to extradite National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden on Tuesday, saying Snowden is free to travel wherever he wants and insisting that Russian security agencies haven't contacted him.

Snowden is in the transit zone of a Moscow airport and has not passed through Russian immigration, Putin said, meaning he is not technically in Russia.

After arriving Sunday on a flight from Hong Kong, Snowden booked a seat on a Havana-bound flight from Moscow on Monday en route to Venezuela and then possible asylum in Ecuador, but he didn't board the plane.

Snowden's whereabouts since then have been a mystery, and Putin's comments were the first time Russia has made clear it knows where he is.
