Presidential race 2016
The same thing was said about Obama and he only wrecked a little. Well maybe a lot but they all do in some way or another. I'm not afraid of a Trump presidency.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

I think the same thing is said after every new POTUS is elected regardless of which side of the isle they stand on.

Obama didn't wreck anything. All told he improved things measurably despite what Faux would have you believe.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Yes, to many dem's he walks on water and then turns it into wine. This is documented among many dems. Ask the repubs and they will tell you a different story. It's traditional bullshit American politics Dono.

But yet who is Romney going to stand with? If not Trump? That is the entertaining part for me. Cruz? Maybe? Most GOP Mormons that I know are split between the two. Leaning more toward Cruz, the evangelical.

The final Republican debate before Super Tuesday will begin in a few minutes. It's on CNN with Wolf Blitzer moderating.

It should be an aggressive one.

If Cruz or Rubio don't really bolster themselves or tear down Trump, it's sure looking like Trump is going to win in every state next Tuesday (with the possible exception of Texas).

Trump is giving me a headache. Rubio is trying to ramp it up.

Rubio ramped it up, but I don't think it was enough.

Rubio, and Cruz to a lesser degree, really did ramp it up, in my opinion.

But, I'm not sure their efforts will make a dent in Trump's support. They waited so long to take Trump seriously and pull the veil back. I think Trump has won the devotion of a lot of people just by validating their fear and anger and portraying it as his own. It seems to me that a lot of his supporters now feel any attack on Trump is an attack on them. It's weird to observe.

So, I'm not sure Trump's supporters will care one bit that all Mexico's leaders have declared strongly that they WILL NOT PAY FOR THAT EFFIN' WALL. I'm not sure they'll care that Trump preaches about getting rid of immigrants who take American jobs while he actually sponsors immigrant visas for workers on some of his projects when U.S. citizens have applied for the jobs, and that he was previously fined for using illegal Polish immigrants to build Trump Tower. I'm not sure they'll be at all concerned that Trump still won't give any specifics on policies to support his sales pitch, nor that he has the strong endorsement of the KKK, nor that he praises Planned Parenthood's non-abortion services, nor that he would like to broker a peace agreement between Israel and Palestine rather than declare that Israel is all right and Palestine is all wrong (I actually agree with Trump on those last two points; the GOP does not).

I wish Cruz would get out so Rubio would have a chance of winning more of the 60% of Republican voters who don't support Trump (Cruz won't though, I don't think, especially if he wins Texas).

In any case, I expect Rubio's campaign will keep pummeling Trump for shadiness, hypocrisy, and non-conservative political positions and I'm sure Trump's team will continue to hurl personal insults at Rubio for being a "sweaty choke-artist".

I really hate Kasich's position on abortion and the fact that he defunded Planned Parenthood in Ohio. But, I think he's reasonable when it comes to health care, national defense, immigration...and he has good credentials. Too bad he got so little air time last night.

Ben Carson has a pleasant demeanor, but he's a fruit loop. I wish he'd fold already.

I don't even know where to begin here.......the "affordable" healthcare act aka Obamacare is the biggest farce ever shoved down the throats of the American people.......when they have a bill they want passed, they include it in a bill that they know will be passed, in this case it was with the budget bill which they knew had to be passed as they knew it wouldn't pass under its own merit.

I'm listening to Chris Christie give his strong endorsement to his friend Donald Trump while continuing to mock Marco Rubio.

I wonder if Christie is looking for a VP role.

I've lost respect for Christie, but I get it.

Aw c'mon Ron. It's just the government in bed with the insurance companies. What could possibly go wrong there? hah

yup, there were two winners in Obamacare.....the insurance companies and the politicians with a vested interest in insurance companies.

You know, I wish I had a business where the government stepped in and made it mandatory that the entire U.S. population was required to buy my product.

What's the worst thing that can happen if Trump were President? I have fear of the unknown.

Like maggs, I don't fear a Trump presidency, but I'm jaded. I'm of the opinion that the great big government wheel will keep on turning as it has since Teddy Roosevelt left office. I don't believe that ANY president can have so much affect that it brings the country down or conversely up. The deck is stacked as far as i'm concerned and a push goes to the dealer (the govt).

They already had their toes in the water on that one. Requiring proof of liability insurance generates a good amount of revenue for every state in the union on a yearly basis. Putting healthcare on the table was just a matter of connecting the dots.
