Trump specifically said, "you look at what's happening last night in Sweden" in the course of talking about other European countries which have suffered terrorist attacks, some associated with immigrants, sal.

Nothing happened in Sweden the night before and Sweden has had no deaths associated with terrorism aside from a suicide bomber who killed himself over 10 years ago. It was an ignorant and false claim, no matter how you slice it.

If the president had said, "I watched a Fox report last night stating that Sweden is having problems with immigrant crime", he might have faced some criticism about the source of his info, but it wouldn't have been a false and reckless claim. However, that's nothing like what he said and it's hard for me to believe that's what he really meant considering the context of his statement.

He's got information and expert resources at his command at all times to give him accurate intel about other countries, some of which would support his agenda, truthfully. I hope at some point he learns to rely on facts and truths instead of twisting something he saw on a FOX report to make a false point in support of his views. He will keep being called out for the bullshit, that's for sure.

So his evil plan was to trick everyone into thinking a terrorist incident happened in Sweden the night before? Because saying "you look at what is happening in Sweden last night" surely wouldn't cause anyone to look. I think he talks without thinking, but I don't believe he was intentionally trying to deceit anyone.

He's a pathological liar, Sally. He lies about easily verified things on a daily basis, not only him but many of those who speak publicly for him. This is not a well adjusted individual. There is something psychologically wrong with him. He is the goddamn president of the United States and most of the entire world is laughing at him, this is no small thing.

I went into this prepared to support him and wish him the best because he's the POTUS. It didn't last a day because within a matter of hours he was lying about his crowd size and it hasn't stopped. Fuck him. I'm taking a lot of satisfaction in all this crap. I'm over the moon that he feels demoralized and can't get any love from the masses. Makes my day.

I think a lot of people felt the same way toward Reagan when he became President.

He was an actor before becoming governor and many didn't respect him politically.

Guess what?

He's now held in very high esteem 30+ years later by just about any and all political historians.

Am I saying Trump will become Ronnie #2?

No, mostly because I don't want to jinx him.

Him trying to draw parralels between European countries and the US when it comes to the influx of Muslim immigrants specifically, shouldn't be so shocking to everyone.

The Swedes have sent most of their recent immigrants to SW Sweden and I'm sure the Swedes that have lived there for generations are not very excited about it.

People can choose to stick their heads in the sand on this issue and continue to deny that there are either existing problems or problems that will be coming.

This applies to Sweden, the US or any other country that takes in massive amounts of people at once.

Why do some of you use that "heads in the sand" analogy when others don't agree with your opinion or see it the same way you do?

It's a real issue, and some continue to deny it's there.

I'll use the old, 'ignore the elephant in the room' line if you prefer.

What exactly are you referring to, immigration?

Mass amounts of mainly Muslim immigrants from specific countries. There are thousands that have already been allowed entry in Europe and there are many, many more that would live to come here.

But, I'm sure you knew what I was referring to.

I initially was prepared to support the Donald when he became POTUS, because I really believed he was just pandering to the crowds during his outrageous campaigning fiascos. I supported many of his policies.

However, enough time has now passed since he is POTUS, where when I see him in the news clips, where he is so uttering fuckin ridiculous that I dislike watching him, and am at the point of wishing he was not POTUS.

However, I certainly didn't want Hillboma as POTUS either, what a clusterfuck USA is in!

Why do you have a problem with Muslims immigrating here? They are heavily vetted already, although to listen to trump you'd think they were running in willy nilly, they aren't. They aren't killing people here either. There have been no terror attacks carried about by those coming from the 7 countries that are on the banned list.

Here is one of their stupid lies today - Sean Spicer said that John Kasich had reached out to trump, he wanted a meeting. The lie is now out there which forces John Kasich's people to respond with " John Kasich respects the office of the president & is happy to meet with trump at the president's repeated requests".
