Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
(02-20-2011, 11:23 AM)ToledoNative Wrote: Holland is the actual city, as in the mailing address. Springfield is the township. Lisa's address would feed into Springfield High School. Much better area/school than Johnny's. Johnny is from Toledo, which is much more urban and full of crime than Holland, although the two cities are just minutes from each other.

The FBI's involvement DOES NOT indicate that this was a professional hit. This WAS NOT a professional hit.

Also, don't think that because an arrest wasn't made within the "first 48", that police are stuck. I have no doubt that an

Lets pray your right! I think this hellish crime was done by one monster that knew everything about this couple! I agree with you this was not a professional hit.

In Vic Dominguez FB, I found a picture of a group of people with "Nuestra Familia" written across the picture. Unfortunately, this pic was small and became blurry when I enlarged it to try and make out some of the faces. So, does this indicate that Vic is part of the Nuestra Familia? If so, how do all these people from different gangs hang out together? This is what Vic posted on Johnny's online memorial:

February 08, 2011
JOHNNY ITS CRAZY THAT NIGHT OF WATCHIN THE PRO BOWL U TOLD ME VIC CALM DOWN LIFES TOO SHORT N TOMMOROW IS NEVER PROMISED TO ANYONE. I LUV U FOR THAT CUZ U WERE MY ONLY FRIEND THAT ALWAYS LOOKED OUT 4 ME N WANTED THE BEST 4 ME. IM GLAD U WAS MY NEIGHBOR N I GOT TO SPEND MY CHILDHOOD WIT U. N IM GLAD WE HUNG OUT LIKE WE DID THE LAST 2 WEEKS I HAD WIT U. I LUV U JOHNNY N GOD B WIT U N UR FAMILY. CLARKE FAMILY IM SO SORRY N ASK GOD TO GET U THROUGH THIS. I GUNNA MISS U CUBANO. U WAS LIKE A BROTHER. U WILL NEVER B FORGOTTEN JOHNNY BOY.

So, they grew up together in the same neighborhood and had just been hanging out together again for the 2 weeks before he was murdered. Hhmmm....

According to Bre (Vic's girlfriend) and Vic, they were with Johnny before he left to pick up Lisa from work.

"I`m Glad I Spent Part Of My Christmas W. The Two Of You. & Lisa , I`m Glad We Had That Talk The Weekend Before You Passed. & Johnny , I`m Glad I Got To See You Just A Few Hours Before You Passed. I`m SOO Sorry You Guys Had To Go Through That. Your Both Forever In Our Hearts. Love You Johnny. "Live Everyday Like It`s Your Last , Because Tomorrow Isn`t Promised" Rest In Peace Johnny Clarke & Lisa Straub ♥ (Bre Aiken RipJohnny)"

Does anyone else notice "I`m SOO Sorry You Guys Had To Go Through That" as being a strange thing to say?!?!?! If one of my friends were brutally murdered, I wouldn't think, I'm sorry that they HAD to go THROUGH that, it would be more like I can't believe this happened to them! Thoughts????

"When I spoke to his friends, the house he was at before he went to pick up Lisa from work where he had been playing his X-box Live, he told them, "I`m going to pick Lisa up from work. We`re going back to the house. We have people coming over. We`re going to shoot some pool." – Maytee on Jane Valez Mitchell

So, these are just a few of the notes that I have collected....

I'm from the same area in Toledo that Johnny and his friends are from. These kids change gangs like you change your underwear. This isn't Compton, it's a fake wanna be Detroit. Girls change depending on who they are dating, etc. Toledo is full of wanna be gang bangers and wanna be big time drug dealers. I'm not too surprised if they are claiming one set on one page and another the next week.

I'm wondering how you know all of this. You're too articulate to have been in a gang. What makes you think these people are wannabees? I lived in Long Beach & Los Angeles, rescued dogs in Compton and south central, and they look just like the dirtbags out there. Someone associated with this crowd just murdered Johnny & Lisa in a horrific and sadistic manner. That's doesn't sound like wannabees to me.

LOL, thank you for the compliment, but yes, I did run around with gangs. I dated a drug dealer, which is why I know a little about how to be successful in the game.

I'm articulate because I decided to go to college after high school then chose to "get the fuck outta dodge" after I I had my kid. I didn't want my kid being raised in a place like Toledo. I saw some crazy stuff there and high tailed it clear across the country. Now that I've lived somewhere else, I can tell you that Toledo is definitely it's own deal...FUCKING CRAZY.

Yes, wannabe gang bangers and drug dealers will do something like this in Toledo to try to get some clout. When I was there, some of my classmates killed and stuffed another classmate down a drain pipe over drugs. This is how we get respect in Toledo. The reason I call the gang bangers "wannabes" is because in places like Compton and LA, you have the original gangsters. These are the people that live and breathe the gang life. Like, their grandmothers do drive-by's, lol.

You lived in and went to Bowsher district? I'm curious what area of that you found a hell hole. Just curious. I'm glad for you if you are happy where you are now.

It's all a matter of perspective and memory. Remember what Gloria Steinem wrote about Toledo. Many people including myself disagreed with her, but that's the way she saw it even back then.

I'm trying to give you all a perspective from someone who was born and raised in the same area as Johnny, as I believe this crime was a result of his aquaintances, not Lisa's (of course it could've been somone that they both know, but was mainly his friend).

Maytee would know that. Everybody around there would know that. I would be wondering how Maytee was so quick with the exact address of Lisa's house. Then on the tapes, you hear Maytee on the phone driving with someone to Lisa's house and she is talking like she has never driven there before, i.e. "I think that's the street right there", etc.

Well said TN! And 150% spot-on. This is exactly what I was saying about 40 pages ago when I said that TW is a product of her environment. Toledo is not full of "wannabes" in the sense that they talk the talk and can't walk the walk because they WILL walk! Kids like TW and AP have nothing better to look forward to. This is it for them. They act all crazy and fearless by posting their business for the world to see on different social media outlets and think this makes them tough and will earn them respect.
As a side note - this 475 entertainment stuff is some scary shit! Who starts a company with those slogans and wears those clothes in public and does not have LE following them daily? This just shows the ignorance of the city. Yeah, yeah, there are exceptions of course, but no one who will challenge these "wannabes." Would you?

I'll back up ToledoNatives sentiments. I didn't grow up in Toledo but right outside in the suburbs and we didn't go to Toledo unless it was to get drugs or alcohol underage. What's sad is that the South End is one of the better parts of Toledo. Bowsher was considered one of the best high schools (within toledo) from my memory. I can honestly say I would NEVER send my kids to school in Toledo. The education is lacking and the only thing they learn, is how to be a thug. Not to say there weren't thugs living in the suburbs too, but it really is night and day between the two. You really can't understand unless you've lived in the area. It's sad.

LoserCity and PurplePegasus you are dead on correct.

Who told anyone Bowsher was a great school?

While there, I saw a classmate get stabbed, tons of fights, tons of drugs, tons of gangs, a police officer on site at all times, and metal detectors at the doors upon entering. If you set off the walk through metal detector, there was a person waiting to pass the metal detector wand over you. Not my idea of a good school.

But I guess school is what you make of it. Luckily, I made it out of high school alive and with some knowledge.

It sure is scary. I live in Ohio about 1 hour from Cleveland and didnt realize that Toledo was so damaged. I can't imagine trying to survive these neighborhoods as a late teen/ early 20's individual. I guess that is why I do believe Tiff has more knowledge of this crime basically just trying to survive the thug/gansta persona she displays on her Facebook.

Or, if not, can you tell me if you have ever been involved in a case that involved a victim named Opal? That would give me a hint, lol.

If I had to pick a local school worse than Bowsher, I would probably say Scott.

Back when I was in H.S I tried to get a out of district transfer to go to Bowsher because I was unfortunatly in Libbeys school ditrict. Bowsher was the better school but not much better. The neighborhoods back then by Highland park were nice but not anymore. I agree with everyone who says that the majority of Toledo is now a shit hole Smiley_emoticons_smile

LOL, well said.

Now that we have all established that Toledo is a waste of space, you can better understand that, as somone on here said it, these kids don't feel like they have anything better to look forward to. They are trying to survive and make money, all the while, making enemies.

I think some further thought needs to be given to why Maytee was so quick to know Lisa's exact address, when listening to the 911 tapes, it is clear that she has never been to the house.

A friend gave Maytee the address? I don't know my friend's exact addresses, even if I have been to their houses many times. Did Maytee give the intruders the address, as some of you have suggested that Maytee might have sent someone over there?

Also, someone said, why does it matter where Lisa's car was parked? I do think it is important that we know whether the car was in the garage or parked in the driveway and if the garage door was open or not.

That's one thing I'm not suspicious about. My daughter and her fiance are living with her fiance's parents right now. Their house is about 20 min away and I've been there a few times. I don't know their street # off the top of my head, but their address is in my address book next to the phone. If I ever had to call 911, it would be handy.

Especially driving at night when street signs are harder to see, I don't think it means anything to say "I think that's the street..."

(Toledo Native: I'm enjoying reading your posts and getting your take on growing up in Toledo. Sounds like a very wise move to get out.)
