Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered

OTD---thanks for your posts---you did a great job.

interesting story williams told yingling in jail. The story sounds plausible to me. I can see them putting the bags over their heads to get them to talk. Too dumb to realize they would die or pass out so fast. Could it be that when SW/CP went in garage to smoke that Lisa passed out---fell off of chair and hit her head??? Maybe that's how the blood got in her hair.

FYI--heard from reliable source that Big John's testimony was heartbreaking.

Is it just me, or does something seem odd here? If any of my points aren’t accurate, please correct me. If nothing else, I don't, at the moment, see any other person that the clues point to as to who either set this up, or was the unknown female at the scene:

1.    Alexandra bought a car from Johnny with a down payment of $750 but
wrecked the car shortly afterwards and didn’t want to pay the remaining
        $750
               a. Johnny’s parents had to pick the car up and put $900 worth of
                    repairs into it
               b. Alexandra started calling Johnny and Lisa threatening to blow their
house up and have Johnny and Lisa killed
                          i. Police were made aware of these threats
               c. Car was sold to another friend

2.    Alexandra Cousino is the only “friend link” between the defendants and
the victims (no one else in Johnny or Lisa’s circle seem to know who they
        are).

3.    Alexandra texts someone a day after the murder “Bitch don't fuck with
me. Watch the news. I can tie people up wrap them with duct tape and
leave them for dead.” These are three different verbs connected by the
same event (“watch the news”…referring to a particular news story). She
is either lying to gain fear, or telling the truth.
               a. It wasn’t until the opening statements that it was known that
Lisa’s legs “had been” TIED with an “article of clothing”
                         i. Alexandra uses three verbs separately: tie, wrap, and leave
                                   1. To “leave” a location means you were at a location
                                             a. Could have simply been lying
                                             b. Could have revealed the truth in a fit of rage
                                   2. How did she know about the “tying”?
                                             a. Perhaps she got wind of some insider
                                                 information
                                             b. Perhaps she knows from experiencing it
ii. We’ve known for a while there was the mysterious “black
and pink pants found under Lisa’s body”
                                   1. Perhaps this means she put up such a fight that she
freed her legs, and they had to bludgeon her on the
                                       head to control her
                                             a. Makes sense if Johnny was killed first, she saw
the bag coming as Johnny did. Johnny thrashed
around so much he bruised his knees, hips,
elbows, and chin (as did Lisa). So much
thrashing they had to hold Johnny down with all
their weight, and perhaps bludgeon Lisa on the
                                                 head.
                                                       i. Lisa’s wounds could have been from the
                                                          bedroom struggle too
4.    Alexandra is later caught with three large bags of marijuana
               a. Scale in Lisa’s home tested positive for marijuana
                         i. There was at least enough marijuana there to require
portioning it out through the help of a scale, and large
enough buds to require cutting with a knife.
5.    Alexandra posts on her facebook weeks after the murder that’s she’s
“laying low and getting her life in order”
               a. Could mean nothing
               b. Could mean everything
6.    Alexandra deletes her facebook page right after Sam Williams is arrested

I'm so grateful to OTD and Mustang for their live action court reporting - it is so much better than the bits reported through news sources...volunteering my transcribing/typing abilities to either of you to help take some of the work off you and to keep mockers informed.

She testified that she, along with Johnny, Lisa and Zach Burkett (with whom she lived at his grandmothers house) were all addicted to Percocet. Johnny, Lisa and Zach preferred to crush and snort the drug, while she swallowed the pills. She recounted the phone conversation with Johnny that was abruptly halted by Johnny telling her he'd call her back (which, of course he never did) and walked through her version of what she and Zach did the day of Jan. 30 and early morning of Jan. 31. She said she tried calling Johnny back at least 30 times, as well as 20 or so attempts to reach Lisa. Her calls rang and rang at first, but then went straight to voicemail, as though the phones were turned off. She convinced Zach (who she described as just a friend; Aaron A.P. Griffin was her boyfriend and babydaddy) to drive to the Straub house to check on them. She got no response at the door, even though lights were on throughout the house, upstairs and downstairs, and didn't even hear their dog. She called Sharrita for the number of her boyfriend, Reuben (Johnny's besgt friend) and she refused to give it to her. Tiffany decided to drive back toward Maytees house to see if Johnny and Lisa had gone there, and also drove by another friend's house, Victor, to see if they were there. They were not. Zach was able to recall that he had Reuben's number in an old phone at his home and called his mother to retrieve it for him He called Reuben, who then called Maytee. Shortly thereafter Tiffany got a call from Johnny's dad. She said she was going back to the Straub's and he was welcome to go along. They picked up John Sr. (the 2nd?) and headed to Springfield Twp. Upon turning onto the Straub's street they could see police cars at the Straub's. John Sr. informed told her to turn around because he had a warrant, but she said she later figured it really because he had a gun. During cross examination, the defense attorney asked if she meant that Sr. was a convicted felon and that possessing a gun was a felony? The prosecution objected, and was sustained, but the toothpaste was already out of the tube at that point and the jury can't "un-hear" it. Tiffany further testified that she was 4 mos. pregnant and still doing up to 4 Percocet a day at the time. The defense asked if she was aware that Johnny was convinced that A.P. was going to try to, "rip him off?" After an objection to the question was sustained, Tiffany didn't answer. Finally, the defense asked how Tiffany heard what happened top Johnny and Lisa. She responded that she got a call from a friend, Tony Watson. When the defense asked if it was true that Tony told her, "I guarantee my brother Chris did it." the prosecution objected and the Judge called the lawyers and defendant into chambers. When they emerged the defense announced they had no further questions and Tiffany was dismissed. But again, toothpaste already out of the tube...

I'm sorry folks. There's more. From three sheriff's deputy's that responded to calls at the house that night, and better yet from Zach Burkett. But for a guy whose typing skills are limited, going on 3 hours sleep and an 8 hour trial, I've got to catch up on some work. Chew on what I have so far and I'll try to answer questions to fill in the blanks until I have a chance to finish. Sorry for any typo's but I think i"m seeing double right now. I'll be back in court tomorrow. Not sure which trial. To OTD, sorry I haven't called you yet. I will.

I've been following this heinous crime since it happened and want to thank everyone who is attending the trial on Mock's behalf!

I find it quite interesting TW states in the Pettaway trial she found out about Johnny and Lisa's deaths from Tony Watson but stated in the Williams' trial she learned the news from Maytee.

Per http://www.toledoblade.com/Courts/2012/0...ouple.html:

"Clarke's mother arrived while they were there, and sheriff's deputies again returned. Ms. Williams and Mr. Burkett left after talking to deputies and didn't learn of their friends' deaths until Clarke's mother called Ms. Williams."

I certainly hope LE and the prosecutors have taken note of this discrepancy.

Did not know about the gun thing---I am so torn over this whole thing--one minute I feel sorry the Clarke's---the next I am sure that it is their fault that it happened.

Somehow I still want to blame Maytee for setting the robbery up--just a gut feeling that I've had from the start----anyone else????

quite a while back i posted that maytee is somehow tied up with the whole thing. never thinking her son would die of course. but she has been known in the past to recruit guys for robbery (the jewelry store failure). that is also why i suspect she wants to cause a mistrial, hence her deranged behavior and refusal to act rationally at courthouse. there is an undercurrent to her insane bullshit on facebook that goes deeper than grief.

So from deducting reasoning at this point, I must say, Alex C, and Eric taylor have not given polys and DNA! And probably will be soon here in the future.

I just want to take a minute here to make sure that you all realize that my earlier post was done after a phone conversation with Mustang. I may not get things exactly right. That's why I don't use quotes. That's why I can't swear the report I made about Cousino's text message is 100% accurate. But, you get the idea! Also, in my notes of my conversation with Mustang, I wrote they went to find the safe. I think we will know soon just exactly went down.

doing this from my phone so please bear w me and forgive errors.
john clark testified today, as has been widely reported. he was extremely effective, and frankly, very difficult to listen to. he had to compose himself several time but he made it through, even under cross where he eventually made defense attorney john thebes look like such a douchebag he simply went back to his seat and mutterred, " nothing further."

heard from alex cousino, and i think older than dirt covered the highlight there. same with jailhouse informant eric yingling i believe.

there's another informant set to testitlfy but we ran out of time today.

spent a couple hours viewing evidence in the williams trial, including clothing, duct tape and gruesome photos. by my calculations they used over 40 feet of tape to bind johnny and lisa's wrists and johnnys ankles. this does not include the tape around their neck.

by the way i learned about the infamous key found under lisa's body. it belongs to the basement panel to the alarm system in the straub home. it was in a large envelope with the alarm manuals etc. which had been dumped out. the installation blueprints or schematic was spread on the table. investigators suspect that the killers, when they couldn't find the nonexistent safe, thought it was probably hooked to the alarm and the blueprint would help them to locate it. the key is a small, cheap variety that is similar to what would come with a walmart file cabinet or drawer lock on a desk and was only meant to keep the basement panel door locked.

ill be back in court tomorrow. not sure which trial but ill do what i can to get info out. using older than dirt via phone during breaks seems to be a good way to get info out timely.

very rough and emotional day. extremely difficult to hear the graphic descriptions from john and yingling and to view the photos. the worst was our sharing of notes between those who attended the different trials ended up being the one jeff straub asked about yinglings testimony and had a very hard time being the one to tell him what he said. straubs are holding up well, as is john clark and his family. lindsay's testimony moved up to tomorrow. looks like both trials may go to jury on thursday.

again, sorry for any typos, or grammatical errors but typing on an iphone sucks.

I could have spent time with them at another location, watched them share a cigarette & then taken the butt and left it at the Straubs.

Same thing I was thinking. What a great way to frame someone else. Scary thought.

Couple things from that article that LC posted, too:

investigators collected and analyzed numerous fingerprints, handprints, palm prints, and DNA samples from the ransacked house, but none matched any persons of interest..

Uh, I hope that was just poorly worded by the reporter. Whoever that unknown DNA belongs to are the MAIN PERSONS of interest.

And this:

The evidence will reveal that nobody knows for sure who is responsible for the untimely deaths of Lisa Straub and Johnny Clarke

Notice how the defense atty says "untimely deaths" like it was a car accident or something. Didn't want to say MURDER.

Eric Taylor's Jacket is pretty thick, some of the crimes he has been involved in would require one to give up his/her DNA for the violent offenders criminal database. So with that said is he in the clear? These 2 clowns know who the other 2 perps are.

More will be available at 5 inless Justme got in today to !!

Wow. I was afraid of something like that when the Straubs family had the house cleaned within a couple of days of the murders. I always felt the crime scene was gone over too fast and that proves it. I hope no valuable evidence was destroyed.
