Well Ramsey, I called it in and guess what? They need the fucking police report faxed to them which won't be ready for another few days!

However, it wasn't a total waste of time. They set me up with a body shop to give me an estimate. They told me because I was parked at the time it was absolutely "no fault" on my part so it won't have any effect on my premiums. They also told me whether or not she was insured, they'll waive my deductible. They said if she wasn't insured, they'd go after her personally. Oh, and they'll give me a rental car while my car is being worked on. Good news.

Happy now???

Yes!! Don't you feel better now that you spoke with your insurance company? No deductible. Not being charged with an at fault mva. Good stuff. Although, they should be requesting the police report. In NY it costs $25 to get a copy of a NY State Police report. But we request it and pay the fee for our insured's. Your insurance company should too. Who are you insured with?

111 Yes m'am, I feel better.

I'm insured with CSAA. I don't know what the cost for the report will be although I'd pay $25.00 to see it (although I agree, the insurance company should pay for it). I don't know how much information will be on the report but I want to find out more about the crazy bitch that hit me.

Yeah, you called this one perfectly too. OF COURSE, you'll have to pay the deductible...

Never heard of CSAA. You won't find out anything else about the other driver. Privacy and all that. Unless you adjuster will give you the scoop. Most likely she was arrested for dwi and put in the drunk tank to sleep it off. It sounds like this might not be her first trip there so she will face additional charges. I would like to know what her BAC was. It had to be up there.

CSAA is California AAA. I'm going to dig around. Pretty small town. Arrests are often put in the local paper so maybe I can find out more that way.

Let me just say, before everyone pats themselves on the back too much and gets a case of tendinitis, make sure you follow up on what they said and don't just ASSUME that they won't be nailing you square in the balls.

Are you allowed to shoot them if they are?

No but I have cut off valve stems before. I have no trespassing signs all over the place but people don't always pay attention to them. I've caught people fishing in my pond as well.

I'd love to have you come here! I don't think you would find my pond exciting fishing though. It has bass & sunfish, a shit ton of snappers and other turtles and right now the geese are hanging out there.
