sickening details:

Prosecutors today revealed the chilling details of the late-night slaying of a pizza deliveryman at a vacant home in Hyde Park as the man’s grieving family demanded justice at a packed West Roxbury District Court.

The three suspects accused of fatally stabbing Domino’s deliveryman Richel Nova, 58, last Wednesday night had every intention of killing him, said Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Hickman.

“It was never their intention that Richel Nova would be leaving that home in any other way but a body bag,” Hickman said.

Hyde Park residents Michel Andre St. Jean, 20, and Alexander Emmanuel Gallett, 18, and Yamiley Mathurin, 17, of Mattapan are charged with murder, armed robbery and breaking and entering.

When Mathurin called Domino’s in Hyde Park at about 11 p.m., she asked questions about how much money the deliveryman would have on him to make change, Hickman said. She said Mathurin was informed the drivers only have $20 on them. Mathurin then placed her order, Hickman said.

When Nova arrived at 742 Hyde Park Ave., Mathurin told him the entrance was around back and lured him to a rear porch, saying she needed to get her wallet, Hickman said. St. Jean and Gallett were hiding inside, she said.

Nova was set upon as soon as he walked in the house, where he was stabbed repeatedly in the chest, throat and back, Hickman said. The suspects then went through his pockets for money, she said.

“It was agreed that he had to be finished off,” Hickman said.

That’s when the suspects went through Nova’s belongings one last time before slitting his throat, Hickman said. Officers were called to the home just before midnight. Nova was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. on Thursday.

Surveillance video taken from the scene showed Mathurin leaving the vacant home with a box of pizza, Hickman said. The suspects left the scene in Nova’s Subaru Outback, which was found Thursday morning behind St. Adalbert Parish in Hyde Park.

A pizza box covered in blood and containing three pizza slices was found near the car, Hickman said. She said police tracked down St. Jean because the suspects gave his telephone number to Domino’s as a callback number.GOOD THAT THEY'RE STUPID AS SHIT! St. Jean later gave up Mathurin and Gallett, Hickman said.

Mathurin and Gallett showed their faces during the arraignment. St. Jean appeared with his face covered. Their attorneys argued unsuccessfully to keep the suspects from going before Judge Kathleen Coffey.

“I’m not going to have them arraigned in absentia,” Coffey said. “If they want to have a hood on that’s fine, but they need to come out.”
