I've read you talking about your pizza oven, obviously your kitchen is "special" and you enjoy working in it. I'd be interested in reading what a holiday menu at your house consists of. Do you make anything out of the ordinary, something that is reserved for special occasions? That's a serious question.

Well the roast piglet was kinda out of the ordinary, but decided I can't do that to a little pig so I'm going to make a turkey in there instead. I guess there is no difference, but for some reason I don't feel as bad about the turkey.

Appetizers will be spinach and feta pie baked in phyllo dough, fried polenta squares with mozzerella, tomato, and basil, and stuffed mushrooms.

The sides will be the traditional stuff. Oyster dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffed acorn squash, yams, homemade macaroni and cheese and greens.

My husband makes the bread and someone else can bring the pies and crap.
