I help out with a local group (shh, don't tell) because the leader is from Sierra Leone and is a dear friend of mine. I help him locate people in the community in true need around the holidays and submit their names for food and gifts. One person reached out to me and I made contact and got them signed up for food deliveries. About a week later, the same person was going on and on about getting a new Mercedes (probably a buy here, pay here place, but still). It made me want to vomit. From now on, I will only be helping fund schools in Sierra Leone. People here have enough resources to abuse.
