I know once you give something, you have to leave it up to the universe to make sure it is received in good faith. I just get pissy with some people taking when they are able to provide for themselves. They use up resources other people truly need and they do it without regard for others or shame for themselves. Maybe it is so common around me because I live in the South. It is a generational way of life for at least 20% (probably closer to 35%) of the population here.
That is why I just don't see the economy getting any better any time soon. The people who need temporary help can't get it because of the leeches. There were over 600 foreclosures in my small county alone in the last two months. How do the rest of us come back from that? I see why people just leave the keys and walk away. Our tax base is fucked. Our employment situation is fucked. Our housing market is fucked. Our education system is fucked. And yet, there are people taking free turkeys and buying used Mercedes. (Maybe this should have gone in the Bah Hum Bug thread.)
