Hey Republicans! Newt for President?

I was more or less in shock at the 'bumpkin' reference cuz I've never thought of myself as one.

When I think of the mid-west I think of the countryside, wide open spaces, corn fields, country fairs, cows & the Dixie Chicks.

FYI, there are at least 3 decent sized cities in the midwest. Chicago, St. Louis and Minneapolis. I grew up in the suburbs, and haven't even attended a county fair. There is a lot of corn, however, and wide-open spaces as well.

Here in the north, though, we have lots of lakes and forests. Very nice (and cold). But, we still attend school, have TV and the Internet and know about all the big cities on the coasts. Some of us, *gasp*, have even traveled a bit.
