i knew a female who killed her twin boys, age 4. i knew her a long time and pretty well. florida was seeking death. there was no question of her guilt. 5 years my Sheriff Dept. invested in that case. and then the state attny. office let her plead it down to 2nd degree to save having to go to trial.
i felt the same that day. she got 20 years. she'll do maybe 10. i've seen her on some TV program about women in prison.
i felt the same nausea and kick in the stomach today.
casey will do something else. she'll be in serious trouble again someday. she won't be able to help it, she's a classic sociopath.
to answer poster above: no, she cannot ever be tried again for this. that would be double jeopardy.
and i seriously doubt cindy will be charged with perjury.
one other thing...i believe that this jury desperately wanted to go home. they knew if they found her guilty they would be there at least another week. take that for what it's worth.
it is time to consider professional qualified jurors in this country.
