I agree with you LC. It shouldn't matter if she was taking it in 3 holes with a biker gang when she was murdered. But juries can be prejudiced and stupid. We only have to look at the Anthony trial jury to prove stupidity.
But in our society it seems that a woman with any deviance from sexual norms (i.e. extra-marital affairs, prostitution, or numerous sexual partners) who is a victim of a crime is seen as "less" of a victim. The common thinking is "she deserved it" or "she put herself in harms way with her lifestyle".
By all accounts she was a good mother. She got her kids ready in the morning, was at home when they got off the bus and attended and cheered them on in their basketball games. It is sad that her sons may have conflicted memories of their mother when they hear of this.
