That child has a mark above her left eyebrow in the first picture, it looks like a faded bruise. Also isn't the left side traditionally where there is evidence of hitting of a right handed person? I think so. I note where the child is not happy the mother has smiling eyes behind the child, eewww evil cow. What about the second picture what have those little eyes seen that has made her so sad.
