Aliayah Lunsford, 3, West Va. missing
i think perhaps the "army" got a little overexcited.

WDTV

Kathy Stover, head of the Aliayah's Army volunteer incident command center, explains why search crews were in the Bendale area on Tuesday.

Aliayah's Army has continued the volunteer searches of the area after PPP Recovery left. On Tuesday, members were sent out around 10:30 a.m. to clear some more areas, including the Bendale dam, which is behind the former home of Aliayah's parents, Lena and Ralph Lunsford.

The water levels were turned down so that crews could easily search the area. A boat went in with an underwater camera and around 2 p.m., they found some things they wanted law enforcement to look at. Following protocol of the volunteer search, members called PPP Recovery who alerts the FBI and the State Police who are working Aliayah's disappearance if anything seems like it could be connected to her disappearance. The volunteers also called local law enforcement.

Around 3:30 p.m., the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, Lewis Co. EMS, the State Police Crime Scene Unit and members from the Braxton County Dive Team went to the area.

The divers were not able to see what the volunteers had seen so Stover says video will be reviewed and volunteers may go back and search Wednesday or later this week.
