The following post is essentially designed to fire a shot over the bow of the believers and was posted this morning. The next few shots will go in below the water line.
The evidence against ramps is simply overwhelming but there has been no single piece of evidence that proves it. Certainly one can point at several things that individually weigh very heavily against the concept of men dragging stones like the utter lack of evidence for ramp builders or stone draggers in the face of the titles of the actual builders but people tend to want a single item that proves or disproves an idea and none of these rises to this level.
There is one piece of evidence that while not truly proof does constitute in itself sufficient evidence to deny ramps. This evidence has existed for decades and is misinterpreted. People see what they expect rather than what actually exists.
Take a new look at this;

People want to see a ramp here but there are no ramps. Yes, a couple of the lines could be interpreted to desiginate ramps but this is a trick of the mind much more what the eye sees.
This image clearly shows a five step pyramid. These same five steps are even visible from the outside on a few of the pyramids including both G1 and G2;

Look at the first picture again and you can see most of the first step especially on the west and south sides. The white stripe on the west side shows a half step so the east side is well defined by the half step there. The second step is visible on all sides. The third step also is defined on all sides. The 4th step is very poorly defined except in some pictures but a small section of the top N Eastern side is visible.
Each of these steps is a little more than 81' (27.7 m) in height.
It is simply nonsensical to build a step pyramid with ramps. It is more nonsensical to build a series of five step pyramids using ramps and this is more true when the lifting required to build them increases more than 40 fold. Steps are necessarily extra work to build and show that whatever lifting method was employed could lift stones only 81' vertically at a time.
Ramps are out and we need to look for a means consistent with the rest of the evidence as well. How can anyone in good conscience teach children that ramps were used to build the Great Pyramid or say with a straight face that the only possible means to lift stones is a ramp? This nonsense has gone on too long and it's time to get out there and do science. It's time to cast aside the superstitions and praying for evidence of ramps.
