Howard Carter (9 May 1874 – 2 March 1939) was an English archaeologist and Egyptologist known for having a primary role in the discovery of the tomb of 14th-century BC pharaoh Tutankhamun.
Actually I have to confess I missed it altogether
There's a supposed curse associated with this and a bunch of people who were involved were dead in a few years. It's mostly fantasy but it makes good copy to sell papers.
I finally managed to get an image posted. This sucker essentially proves that ramps weren't used to build great pyramids. This shows a five step pyramid of 81' 3" steps under the Great Pyramid. They lifted stones 81' 3" at a time because they had only 100' ropes and that's how high you can lift stones using counterweights.
