Oprah is a pretentious windbag - yet a brilliant marketing charlatan - who duped millions of weak minded women for decades into funding her nonsense. She's not groundbreaking, intelligent, or remotely entertaining. She merely did a talk show like others before her, then convinced everyone it was different. When her ratings would slip, she would cry about drug addiction, molestation, or some other farcical nonsense. Don't believe me? Watch her early talk shows... they were worse than Jerry Springer.
With regard to The Not-So-Secret, I had a sales consultant try to push on me. I watched it, and showed him the door. Positive thinking isn't a new idea to anyone, but kudos to them for spinning it differently and making millions off of it.
And guess what, Oprah got a cut of The Secret money too... you don't think she promotes all that shit without a piece of the back end do you?
